A new family. (The Kelly's/Mac)

Thomas looked at Katrina, "Yes?" he asked in reply

I look down then back up at him. "I am sorry for how I treated you it wasn't you fault." I say looking back down.

"Your forgiven Katrina" Thomas said to her

I look up at him shocked. "Really?"

"Really" Thomas replied

I watched the small scene between them and smile a little as I walk over to the table Katrina got for us and sit down. I know that Thomas has his way to get through a teenage girl like Katrina, but I wonder if she's going to tell him anything, or if not, but then, I guess he's coming back, talking to me, though I told him it's mostly kept as family business.

Thomas watch Katrina after he spoke to her, he could tell that she was surprised at what he said to her

I am surprised, maybe this guys not so bad. I smile. "I think Mac's waiting for us."

Thomas nodded, "Then we better join him" he replied in a joking manner

I laugh lightly and open the door for him.

I feel relieved when I see them both coming in, though I hide my triumphant smile.

Thomas walked in ahead of Katrina, then waited for her to walk in behind him

I follow and look up at Mac who has a smile on his face.

Thomas followed Katrina over to the table, he could tell that she was happier then before

"So, you two okay now?" I asked them, as they sat down.

I nod to Mac and lean over and whisper in his ear. "I'm sorry Mac." Then kiss his cheek.

I give her a smile.
"It's okay."

Thomas sat across from Mac and next to Katrina, glad that this all worked out

I smile at Mac and rub my hurt wrist a bit.

"Are you going to be okay?" I asked her in a worried tone.

I look at Mac and have to laugh. "Yea I'll live just got a sharp pain." I say still rubbing it.

I nod and give her a small smile.
"Only makes you stronger, right?"

"You got it. Just like every hit makes me stronger." I smile back at him.

"Though every hit is one too many." I say quietly.

Thomas nodded in agreement, remembering all the abuse cases that he had worked up to this point
