Family Picnic [Kelly Family, Katrina]

It was a nice and warm day, a few weeks before I'd get married to the most amazing man in life.
Keven, Lilyana, my late best friend's daughter, whom I adopted after her dad was put into jail, and I were on our way to Central Park to meet my parents and Thomas and his family, along with Katrina and Thomas' mother, Enya.
Throughout time passing, Lilyana and I got pretty close and within a few months she once came home, calling me mom and did so ever since. I was glad everything turned out so well and Keven did accept the fact that I took her in and they got along pretty well. She even accepted his offer to call him dad if she wanted to. So we actually were a nice little family. My parents loved her, just like they loved her biological mother.

Today we were out for a family picnic at the pont. Upon arriving I already spied Thomas and his family.

Thomas and his family walked over to the spot along with Enya, she adored Thomas's family and was happy for her son, Thomas looked over and say Haylen, "Hello there" he called out

I waved to him and we walked up to him.
"Hello to you, too." I replied, smiling a little. Lilyana saw Erin and Colleen.
"Can I go, ma?" she asked and I nodded. "Of course."

Colleen and Erin ran over to Lilyana, Thomas and Shannon smiled at them as they ran off to play

I smiled, watching them for moment. Then I greeted him and Shannon, giving each a hug.

Thomas and Shannon returned each hug, Sara and Bridget were behind them

And they got a hug as well. keven said hello to them as well, just as my parents walked up to us.
"Hello everyone." they said.

Thomas looked over at Ryan and Angela, "Hello" he said to them, "Thomas who is that?" Shannon asked, "That is my father" Thomas replied

"Ryan Becall and my wife Angela." he introduced himself to Shannon. I gave Thomas a small smirk, almost feeling bad that Shannon had to learn it that way.

Shannon looked at Ryan and Angela, then nodded, "I'm Shannon Kelly, Thomas's wife" she replied

"Nice to meet you." they both said, while I was watching them.

I walked up with Star on my back, when she seen The girls playing she asked to play too she I let her down and smile at everyone. "Hey everyone."

Shannon smiled a bit, Bridget looked at Ryan, "Who are you?" she asked, Thomas looked over at Katrina, "Hey lass" he said to her

I smiled and kissed Thomas' cheek like I've been doing since they adopted me.

"Hi Katrina." I said to Katrina and then looked at my father, who was getting down to Bridget's leven and gave her a soft smile.
"I guess I would be your grandpa Ryan. And you?" he said gently.

Thomas smiled when Katrina kissed him

"I'm Bridget" she replied, still a little shy

Ryan smiled at her.
"What a nice name for a beautiful girl like you." he said.

Bridget smiled a bit when Ryan said that to her, "I was named after a saint" she said

I look at Thomas a little lost on whats going on here.

"Really? You can be quite proud of that." he said with a smile. I looked at Thomas and then Shannon.

Bridget nodded and smiled, Thomas looked at Katrina, then walked over and explained it to her

Meanwhile Angela and I were talking to Shannon.

"So, you all met because of a case?" Shannon asked

"Yep. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I said to her.
