Family Picnic [Kelly Family, Katrina]

Sniper started to growl at the man, showing his teeth at the same time, Thomas was a little closer when he did that

Lilyana now really glared at the man, showing that even she had a bit of temper and courage.
The man made a step closer to her. "You're only tough with him." he said, meaning Sniper. At that time Keven and I walked up behind her. I glared at him.
"She's got a very protective mother, who doesn't step back from you." I said and it was clear that I was angry. "And an even more protective father." Keven added.

I watched then while holding Star close.

Thomas looked at the man, "It would be best for you to run lad." he said to him, standing next to Sniper as he said that

The guy glared at us and then turned to leave, leaving me with a puzzled look on my face. Lilyana handed the leash back to Thomas and turned to me, wrapping her arms around me and I did just the same.

Thomas took the leash, then looked at Haylen, Keven and Lilyana after the guy left, "Who was that?" he asked

"Well, I certainly don't know him. Lil?" I said, looking at her. She pulled away, looking at us.
"One of my.... father's old friends." she replied quietly.

Thomas nodded, "Did he hurt your father?" he asked

Lilyana looked at Thomas and shook her head.
"Me." she said and turned back to me. I pulled her close.

Thomas watched her, controlling his anger, he wanted to ask what happened to her, but this was not the time

I looked at Thomas, knowing he felt just like I did about this guys.
Lilyana then looked at us and walked back to the others, I slowly followed her, as did Keven, but we stayed a bit behind.

Thomas looked at Haylen, "What happened to her?" he asked in a low voice

"I wish I knew... she did want to really tell me about it. She mentioned it the day I took her in. But I didn't want to push her." I replied quietly. "Maybe I should have asked her again."

Thomas nodded, "Aye" he replied

That didn't make me feel better, but I knew he was right, so I knew that tonight, when we got home, I had some talking to do, hoping she would tell me.

Thomas soon rejoined his family and sat next to Shannon

I sat back where I sat before, looking down. Keven sat to next to me, wrapping his arm around me, pulling me close while he watched Lilyana.

Lilyana was sitting with Erin and Colleen, Thomas looked over at her, seeing that she was a bit shaken up

I noticed that also, but right now I just didn't know what to do about. I was just thinking.

Thomas looked back at Shannon and got into the conversation she was having with his parents

After a while Lilyana got up and walked over to us, sitting down between Keven and me.

Keven looked at her, "What is it?" he asked gently

"I... I'm sorry I didn't tell you about it." she replied almost sounding sad.

"Lilyana, don't be" Keven said to her gently

Lilyana looked up at him and nodded.
"I'll tell you tonight." she replied. I nodded and then glanced at Thomas and our father.
