Beat to hell. (Thomas/Mac)

I nod. "I'm sure he knows."

Thomas nodded as he pulled in the drive way and parked, he then looked at Katrina, "Want to talk about it?" he asked

Meanwhile I was at Katrina's parent's home trying to get some sense into my uncle. This time he had been going way too far. I knew that Katrina barely talks about it and I figured she doesn't want to go and arrest him, fearing he'll come back and get at her, something I understood. But this time I was just trying to talk to him.

I look at Thomas shank my head. "No, but I'm sorry how I treated you."
Bill Katrina's father opened the door holding a beer. "Hey Mac what are you doing here?"

"Your forgiven" Thomas replied, he then got out of the car and headed inside

"Well, was in the neighborhood and thought I drop by..." I lied to him. "Just wanted to give you a friendly warning. So far I kept quiet but you better not hurt Katrina another time."

I smile a little and follow him in.
Bill looked at Mac. "last time I check whooppin' your daughter's ass is not a crime."

I don't really get what he tried to tell me.
"Pardon? I was talkin' your daughter..."

Bill drank more of his beer clearly drunk. "I don't know what that brat told you, but all I did was spanked her."

"Yeah I've seen that. Next time I won't be here as your nephew, Bill." I said warningly. Actually I could arrest him right now, but I wasn't in the mood to arrest my uncle.

Bill threw his beer down and stood up. "What the hell do you mean Mac?!"

"Exactly what you seem to think I mean. It's called domestic violence and it's against the law." I tell him firmly, wondering if it was a good idea to come.

Bill shook his head and went to get another beer.
I bite my lip and text Mac. Hey you off work? Can we talk?

"Just make sure I don't have to come back." I said after I read Katrina's message and leave.
Sure we can talk. Where? I text back.
And with that I actually wonder if Bill really did it.

Umm Idc you pick. I text him.

I read her answer and think for a moment.
Central Park? I text back. It wasn't too close to her parent's home but not too far away.

Thomas watched Katrina as she texted Mac

Sure be there in a few I text and look at Thomas. "Is it ok if I go hang out with Mac for a bit?"

"Of course" Thomas replied, "Be careful" he added

Good. I text back and then make my way over to Central Park, parking my SUV nearby and then wait for Katrina.

I smile change my clothes and head out get to Central Park a few minutes later. "Hey." I say to Mac.

Thomas smiled as he watched Katrina leave, then went upstairs

"Hey." I greet her with a small smile. "Everything okay?"

I shrug at Mac. "I'm sorry for how I acted today. Just forget so time I got people who care now."

I nod a little.
"I know it's not easy sometimes." I say quietly. "Are you and Thomas okay?"
