Beat to hell. (Thomas/Mac)

"Don't take it personally." I said to him in a quiet tone.

"I'm not" Thomas replied, "Thats not the first time I've had someone talk to me that way." he added

"I know." I replied, not sure he was going to be okay.

Thomas never took his eyes off the statue, "There was a time when I was in the Royal Irish when I had been out of Sandhurst for only two months. A young sergeant kept challenging my position as an officer. He kept saying that he was born into a military family and that he would make a better officer then someone who was not of wealth. That was before I let him take over my job for a day." Thomas said to Mac

I nodded when he said that.
"Katrina reminds you of him, right?"

"Aye" Thomas replied with a slight nod

I try to sign out but they will not let me 'Grrrrrrr!"

at the same time, Thomas got up and went to head back to Katrina's room

"Well, she saw a lot of trouble from a young age on and had to learn to be tough, but sometimes she forgets when she shouldn't be." I said quietly. "She was mad, I noticed that. But I know she shouldn't forget what you've done for her so far, without even having to."

Thomas nodded in reply, "That is true" he said to Mac

I nodded and followed him.

Thomas walked back to Katrina's room, hoping she was okay

When he walked up to her room I stopped outside.

Thomas did the same, "Were is she?" he asked

"Probably trying to get outta here." I said and started walking down the corridor. I knew her too well.

I was still fighting with the lady to let me go.

Thomas nodded, then heard the commotion and followed Mac down the hall

I growl at the lady. "Just get me the fucking papers to get the hell out of this place!"
The lady shanks her head. "I can't."

Thomas lost it, "KATRINA, ENOUGH, YOU ARE NOT LEAVING HERE UNTIL YOU ARE TREATED, NOW MARCH YOURSELF BACK TO YOUR ROOM AND WAIT FOR THE DOCTOR TO COME AND SEE YOU!" he yelled

I jump and spin around fast when I hear Thomas. 'Ok he's pissed, but where the hell did he come from?' "Yes sir." Was all I could think of saying and obeyed him. 'Well I thought of something else to say but not would not be good he looks like the type of guy that believes in a little swat and right now I couldn't take that.'

Thomas watched Katrina as she went back to her room, his anger in full force

Katrina bit her lip as she rushed back to her room waiting for the doctor, Mac, and Thomas.

after a while, Thomas calmed himself, then looked at Mac

I had watched the scene, saying nothing, actually surprise to see him like this, but well, maybe it was the punch she needed.
"Didn't know that side of you." I said quietly, but not mad.

Thomas sighed a bit, "I only save that for times like this." he replied
