hazing (Haylen)

At the time I walked into the room where Laura was sitting at the table, curiously looking at me as I walked up to her, sitting down opposite from her.

"Well, well, if it isn't Nancy Drew" Laura taunted

"What about Nancy Drew?" I asked her, not knowing Nancy.

"You know: the snoopy little girl detective always getting in trouble." Laura replied, taking a swipe at Haylen's youthful look

I gave Laura a small smile, but said nothing to that.
"Well, Laura... it seems that you are the one in trouble right now." I said calmly.

"You got nothing on me cop" Laura said to Haylen, smirking a bit

"That's exactly where you are wrong." I said to her. "Why did and Abby kill Magan?"

Laura looked up at Haylen and sighed, "That bitch?" she replied, "Megan was a wannabe" she replied

"And that's why you killed her?" I asked, obviously disgusted.

"Yea, but not intentionally" Laura replied, "Abby and I grabbed Megan from her dorm, then drove her around for a bit, with her tied and gagged in the back of Abby's car." she said

I looked at Laura when she said that.
"You wanted to teach her a lesson. What happened?"

Laura nodded, "We got to Central Park, then got little miss wannabe out of the car and cut her free. Abby told her to take her shirt off, but she refused." she replied

I sighed.
"So Abby ripped it off her?" I continued.

"Yes she did" Laura replied, smirking a bit, "We then told her to run through the park."

"At night, and alone?" I asked, almost being shocked. "Did she do it?"

"Yep" Laura replied rather smugly as she sat back in her chair

I just shook my head.
"And you sure can tell me how she ended up dead, right Laura?" I asked, actually hating the fact that I had to ask the same question all over again.

Laura sighed, "Megan ran off into the park and Abby and I laughed at each other before getting into the car, we then heard a scream from her direction." she said

"Did you see what happened to her?" I asked, surprised about what I heard, but not letting it shine through.

"No, we figured she saw a bug and flipped out." Laura replied, "It was then we got into the car." she added, over in the other room, Abby was saying the same thing, Shannon held back her anger

"And you didn't even think about going to check on her? You know that this makes you guilty for her death." I shot at her, keeping my anger in check, only letting a little of it shine through my words. "That's failure to render assistance"

"Why should have we?, its not like some pervert jumped out of the bushes, raped Megan, then killed her." Laura replied, not knowing that is what happened to Megan after her and Abby left

I really had a hard time to keep my anger back.
"But that is exactly what happened to her." I said angrily. This was New York City, you never knows what happens in Central Park at night.

Laura looked at Haylen, for the first time in the interrogation, she did not have a come back, a look of horror came over her face

"And you two could have saved a life." I said a little calmer and left the room.
