hazing (Haylen)

Shannon stood outside the main interview room were 18 year old Kaitlin Driscoll sat, the young woman had bruising on her wrists and markings on her arms, all that Shannon knew was that Kaitlin was found by the fountain of the Lincoln Center, "What were you doing there?" she asked her self

I walked down the hallway to the interrogation rooms and then saw Shannon standing outside the main interrogation room. I walked up to her.
"Tough case?" I asked a little curious, as I had nothing to do right now, maybe I could help her?

Shannon looked at Haylen, "Yes it is" she said to her, "18 year old Kaitlin Driscoll, freshmen at Chelsey University." she said to Haylen, "A couple leaving the Lincoln Center found her taped to a light pole and blindfolded." she added

"Maybe some kind of prank from an older student? A room mate perhabs?" I asked. It was the first thing that came to my mind. "Does she remember anything?"

Shannon nodded, "Thats what I thought, I was just about to go in and talk with her." she replied

"Okay. If you don't mind I'd like to just watch and observe that from the observation room." I said and looked at her, waiting for her answer.

"Actually, I would not mind if you came in." Shannon said to her

"Okay, then I'd love to join you." I said with a small smile.

Shannon nodded, then walked into the room, Kaitlin looked up and saw Shannon, then Haylen, she started to get a little uneasy

I decided to step back and stay in the background, noticing Kaitlin's uneasy feeling. I gave her a small smile.
"Don't worry, we're here to help you." I said to her in a friendly way.

Katlin sat back in the chair, Shannon watched her, "Katlin, this is Det. Becall, she is going to be assisting me in helping find who did this to you." Shannon said to her, "It was the Thetas" Katlin said after a few seconds, Shannon was confused, "Thetas?" she asked

"Thetas? Does that have anything to do with the Greek letter Theta?" I asked her, curiously but also a little confused.

Kaitlin nodded, "Theta Xi Mu" she replied, Shannon nodded, "Kaitlin, was what happened to you some sort of hazing?" she asked gently, Kaitlin looked at Shannon, a tear falling across her cheek as she nodded

"Okay, now I'm a little confused." I asked, not really knowing much about it, but I could see it wasn't a good thing.

Shannon sighed, at the same time, Kaitlin pulled the sleeve back on the jacket she was wearing, "This is just one of the things they did to us." she said to them, pointing to the writing on her arm

"Us? There are more victims out there?" I asked Kaitlin, a little shocked.

Kaitlin nodded, Shannon leaned forward, "Tell us what you know" she said to her in a gentle tone, Kaitlin sighed, then spoke up, "The sisters would wake us up early in the morning to clean the house with toothbrushes. If we not working hard enough, they would paddle us. Three weeks in was pig week." Kaitlin said, "Pig week?" Shannon asked, Kaitlin nodded, "When ever we were in the house, we had to dress like a pig." Kaitlin replied

"What kind of order is that?" I asked curious on the one hand and yet confused and shocked on the other.

Shannon sat back in her chair, "Obviously one that uses fear and humiliation to keep people in line." she replied, looking at Haylen, then back to Kaitlin

I nod, but said nothing. What was there to say.
"Do you know why they did this to you?" I asked Kaitlin in a kind tone.

Kaitlin looked at Haylen, "Because we were the new girls." she replied, sighing a bit after she said that, "Were you in a sorority?" she asked

"Yes I was, but that one didn't have any rituals like those." I said quietly.

Kaitlin sat back in her chair, "How did you end up at the Lincoln Center?" Shannon asked, getting back to why Kaitlin was there, "I was leaving the library when two of the sisters grabbed me and put me in a van, blindfolding me as the van pulled away." she said

"And then they left you where you were found? Did they do something else to you?" I asked her in kind tone. I heard a lot about those orders and groups with rituals that weren't really nice. Some where illegal, actually.

Katlin nodded, then lifted her shirt to reveal writing on her stomach, Shannon looked at it and was disgusted
