Yet another frustrating case

There we were, sitting in the lab, frustrated. Our last chance on catching the killed had slipped through our fingers. No evidence left to help us out this time. We had to wait, wait for another woman to get killed, wait for more evidence to finally catching the cold bloody murderer. For now we were stuck and rather pissed off.

I was really frustated and that didn't happen often. But throughout sitting there with Stella, thinking I got an idea.
"How about I go undercover? I'm perfectly fitting in his target group." I suggested.

I turn my head and frown a little while I thought about her idea. "That's out of the question Haylen, I don't want to risk one of our csi's while we have undercover agents" All we can do is wait, for now

I looked at her actually not really wanting to back down.
"Then lets find one that fits into the target group, 'cause I don't wanna just sit here and let this sick bastard kill another woman." I replied seriously.

"I think the targets are blond women around your age but still you're not going undercover" I say seriously but with a little smile

"Know anyone who could do that job for us, then? Just to mention it's not the first time I'd do that." I replied as a matter of factly.

"They are searching for someone right now" I tell Haylen as I look over the table with the evidence once more

"Still frustrating that we didn't get that bastard." I replied and sighed.

"I know, me too but I guess we can't catch them all the first time" I sigh as well as I hold up the gun from the table. "I can't believe there wasn't even one fingerprint on it.."

"It reminds me of the case I heard about." I replied.

"But as far as I know he's locked up in jail" I say as I walk to the computer to check

"Yeah, but this guy knows what he does. We need something to nail him." I said, watching her.

I read the notes on the computer screen and frown "DJ's still in jail but his cell-mate got out of jail a couple weeks ago"

"Could he be our guy?" I asked as I walked up to her.

"Could be but unfortunately we can't just arrest him" I reply

"No, but we could just pay him a visit or talk to his probation officer if he has one. What was he arrested for?"

"Sexual assault of a teenager, disgusting" I pull a gross face and look at you "Guess he's also capable of killing people"

"Gosh... that poor girl." I said, obviously not liking it either. "What do you think... should we ask him for a coffee?"

I smiled a little and start for the door, getting out of my lab coat and remove the hair tie from my hair, letting it hang loose.

"Yep." I replied as I took my coat. "Ready to strike if needed, though I hope we don't have to."
