a royal crime (Haylen, anyone)

I snapped out and gave her a smile. "Yes, sweetie?"

Erin sat next to her, "You were day dreaming weren't you?" she asked

I smiled when she said that and nodded. "I guess I was." I said.

Erin giggled in reply, "So was I" she confessed

"Well, sweetie, I believe that girls tend to do that from time to time." I replied, gently touching her cheek.

Erin smiled wide, "Yep we do" she replied, "I wish I could be a princess" Erin added, Colleen looked over and giggled at her sister

I looked at Erin, after smiling a little at Colleen.
"You are my princess." I told her.

Erin looked at Haylen, then hugged her

I hugged her back, holding her close. "And you'll always be."

Erin smiled, "Thanks Aunt Haylen" she replied

"You're welcome." I said, looking at her. "sometimes I wanna be a princess, too." I whispered.

Erin pulled back, "Really?" she asked, a bit surprised

"Sure. They have great dresses and have lots of other cool things." I said, smiling.

Erin giggled as she listened to Haylen, "And they get to marry cute boys" she added, Shannon smiled when she heard her

"Aahh, never forget about the boys, huh?" I giggled a little. I was enjoying the time.

"Nope" Erin replied, she was a very curios girl when it came to boys, Shannon and Thomas knew it and were going to have to the have the talk with her soon

I knew that as well and smiled a bit. "Just don't trust cute boys too easily. Some aren't worth it." I said in a motherly tone, just wanting to have it said.

"Why?" Erin asked, a bit puzzled

"Well, not every cute boy is being honest. Some just want to play." I replied, trying to explain that to her, though it would take some time for her to really understand what I meant.

Erin nodded slowly in reply

"I know it may not make sense to you now, but... just keep that in mind." I said gently.

"I will" Erin replied

I nodded and smiled at her.

Erin smiled a bit, then looked around the room

I smiled watching her.
