I sat with Shannon and Thomas, talking about the day.

Shannon held Thomas's hand as they talked, "I wonder what every one else is going to think about you when we get back to the crime lab." Shannon said

I looked at her sighing a bit. "I like to believe they won't hold it against him." I said, looking at Thomas.

"Aye" Thomas replied with a slight nod to Haylen

I smiled a little.

as did Thomas, Shannon put his arm around him at the same time

I looked at them and smiled a little. They were just a great family.
But I was a little quiet now.

Shannon looked at Haylen, "You okay?" she asked

I looked at her and then nodded. "I am."

Shannon nodded, then looked back at Thomas

I gave them a smile.

Shannon smiled back as Thomas kissed her

I looked down, thinking about my 'family' at home, starting to miss them a little.

Thomas looked over at Haylen, "You miss them don't you?"

I looked up at him and nodded a bit.
"A bit."

Thomas nodded, "We have one more day here before we go home."

"I know. It's just the quiet times, you know." I said, smiling a little.

"Aye" Thomas replied, nodding a bit, Shannon did the same

I smiled a little.

Shannon smiled as well, holding Thomas's hand at the same time, meanwhile, Erin was lost in a daydream about being a princess

I looked over and watched her with a smile.
