Don't mess with Star! (Mac)

Kat shrugged.

Star looked at Mac.

I looked at Star. "What's up big girl?"

Star shrugged. "Nothings."

"Nothing huh?" I replied and gently poke her side.

She giggled and poked back.

I laughed a bit when she poked me back and stopped.

Star laid her head on him.

Kat was looking down again.

I noticed and while having Star on one side I pulled her to my other side.

Kat kept her head down, but held into him.

"You look much better looking up." I said gently.

Kat kept her head down on his chest. She was to ashamed of what she did.

I sighed a little, but actually was glad she didn't just pull away.

Star watched them.

Kat tried to hind it when she sniffled.

I noticed anyways and gently rubbed her back, glancing at Star.

Star gave a sad smile.

Katrina looked up at him.

I gave Katrina a small smile.

She gave a smaller one back.

"You two want to stay for dinner?" I asked looking at both of them.

Kat shrugged.

Star nodded.

"Could someone please talk to me?" I reply with a sigh, looking at Katrina.

Kat looked at Star. "Honey why don't you go get some toys."
She nodded getting down and leaving the living room.
Kat looked at him. "Sorry Mac I just keep replaying all that happened in my head, and I can't stop it."

I looked at her, knowing what she was going through.
"I know, Kat. It'll take time, but sometimes it helps to talk about it." I replied gently.

Kat leaned her head back against the wall. "How do you talk about almost killing someone?"

"I think the word is almost. You were angry, Katrina and I know you love your little girl and are protective of her. There's nothing wrong with that. And this is me talkin' not Detective Taylor. He may see it differently." I replied honestly.

She looked at him. "If I wasn't your cousin you would have thrown me in jail?" She asked.
