Don't mess with Star! (Mac)

As they walked past my place Star tugged on Katrina's hand, looking up with that puppy face.

Katrina looked at Star and sighed.
"Fine." She led Star up to Mac's place.

Star smiled at her mother.
I was in my bedroom, putting new sheets on.

Katrina didn't smile back just sighed and let Star ring the bell.

As I heard the bell I stopped my task and went to open the door.

When Mac did Star jumped at him. Katrina looked down.

"Hey sweet girl." I greeted her, picking her up. I looked at Katrina and knew she was still thinking about that argument.
"C'mon in."

Star hugged Mac tight. "Me missed you."
Katrina smiled a little walking in.

I held her close.
"I missed you, too." I replied honestly.

Star smile holding into him.

Kat didn't say anything.

"What about you? Don't wanna greet your ol' cousin properly?" I asked, looking at Katrina with a small smile.

Kat didn't look up. "Sorry. Hey Mac." She said

I glance at Star and then back at Katrina....
"I know you think I'm still mad at you... but I'm not."

Katrina bit her lip a little. "Kay." She said staring at her pant leg.

I sigh a little and look at Star.
"What's up, Kat? I mean, really."

Kat rubbed her head. "Nothing." She lied.

I looked at her and knew she was lying.
"Fine..."

"You don't have to sound pissed Mac." Kat said.
Star sighed.

"I didn't sound pissed, just don't know what else to do." I reply with a sigh.

Kat sighed. "Me either."

I nod. "Well, let's at least try get things back to normal, okay?" I suggest.

"How?" She asked looking at him.

"I can forgive you Mac 'cause you did nothing wrong. I am the stupid one." Kat said looking down again.

"But understandable." I replied, looking at her. "And I can forgive you also, I know I would've been the same to some point. Just listen next time, okay?"
