Fairwell Bill (Mac)

I got to the funeral first and I swear as so as everyone arrived they all kept saying, 'I'm sorry'. Its actually starting to getting get to me. I sigh a little seeing Mac coming up hoping he doesn't say, 'I'm sorry."

I walked up to her, hugging her and kissing her cheek as usual.
"How're holdin' up?" I asked Katrina, not saying 'I'm sorry', first of all because I already said that and secondly because I wasn't sure what she was feeling right now.

"For the millionth time I'm fine." I say not angry. I turned and gave him a small smile.

I smirked a little and then nodded.
"Almost as bad as the usual 'I'm sorry'?I asked with arched brows, but more in a teasing manner.

Ok that pissed me off and I turn my small smile into a full out hateful glare. "Your trying to piss me off right?"

"No I'm not." I said seriously. "But I know it gets to you."

I narrow my eyes on him. "And you think its the day to mess with me? I ask folding my arms over my chest.

"I don't mess with you, Katrina. Am not in the mood for fights." I said calmly. "And I'm sorry if it appeared that way."

I nod. "I'm sorry to I'm in a very bad mood today." I say and walk in the church and sit down.

"Understandable." I replied as I walked into the church with her and sat down beside her.

I glanced at him as the Pastor started.

I glanced back, wanting to be sure she was okay.

I look back to the Pastor and not really listen to him since I didn't believe in God.

I was only listening with one ear, as I was too actively thinking about the past and my uncle. He's been a good man once, but life changed him a lot and sadly not for the better.

I looked around and see almost everyone with tears rolling down their face, I look up at Mac for a second holding all my tears in.

Much like Katrina, I held my tear in, but that mostly because I wasn't a man to show emotions around people. Glancing at Katrina, I knew she did the same. I gently take her hand in mine and give it a soft squeeze.

I looked at him and smile a little.

I gave her a small smile back.

When the pasror started the closing prayer I looked around.

Though I wasn't that much into religion anymore, I said the closing prayer along with the others. It was the least I could do today.

After they finished with the prayer thing I stood up and walked outside.

I stayed a little longer, waiting until everyone else was outside and then I walked out as well.

I was sitting on the sidewalk thinking.

When I saw Katrina on the sidewalk I walked over and quietly sat down beside her. But I said nothing, I just wanted to be there, if she needed me.

I sigh a little when he sat by me and put out my smoke.
