Fairwell Bill (Mac)

"We're there." I said, watching her for a moment.

I snap fully out of it and look at him. "Sorry, but what?"

"You're home." I repeated now really looking worried.

I rub my eyes. "Sorry I'm just really tried. Thanks for the ride." I say and kiss his cheek then get out.

"You're welcome." I said, but was still worried as I watched her go into the house.

For the next couple Days I told family what had happening. not that we had much family, but yea. I got almost everything I need to get done. Mac had came by and picked me up from school both days. On its one day away from the services and I'm not really sure what all We got to do.

I was at my apartment, watching the news on TV after I just finished my modest breakfast. Actually I wasn't really listening to the newspeaker as my mind was focused on the furneral and family dealings and most importantly how Katrina was holding up. She's never really spoked about how she felt about all that, even since she was told Bill died.
I figured that maybe it got closer to her than she wanted to admit, but I wasn't even sure about it. I just hoped she was going to be okay.

My mind is focused on the furneral I think I got everything done but I'm not sure.

After a while just sitting there, thinking I got up and walk to my phone, calling Katrina.

I jumped when my phone rang I sigh when I see Mac's name I answered. "Hey Mac."

"Hey. Everythin' okay?" I asked, actually just wanting to know she was okay.

"Yea I think I got everything set up." I say rubbing my forehead.

I nodded and while she couldn't see that I said
"Okay. You know you can call anytime if you need me, right?"

I sigh a little. "Yea Mac I know. You tell me that all the time." I say with a tiny smile though he can't see it.

"I know. But puts my mind at ease knowing I said it." I said, the hint of a smile in my voice.

"Ummm." Was all I said she the time. And look back at the paper's I had to finish.

"Sounds stupid, I know." I said, in a slightly teasing manner.

"No it don't." I say and sigh. "Not trying to be rude, but I got stuff to do. See ya tomorrow."

"'kay. See ya." I said.

Love ya." I say then hang up and start working.

"Love ya, too." I said quietly into the now quiet area around me. I get my day started, doing some housework and then was called to a scene.

I wake up the next day and don't feel like getting up I only got an two hours for sleep again. The last three night I've only got about six hour of sleep total. After a bit I get up and shower then start to get ready. This is going to be a long day.

I didn't get much sleep either and actually felt a little tired, but that's because I came home late and had to get up early today. But then my mind was now actively thinking about the days events. A sad day actually. I get up and have a cup of coffee, not feeling like eating.

After getting all dress, doing my hair, and make up. I head out not wanting to eat. I actually haven't ate since I found out Bill was gone.

I got ready as well, heading to the place we'd all meet today. I had a small lump in throat now and actually I wasn't feeling that well about all this.
