Fairwell Bill (Mac)

I heard her crying and felt bad for her. I quietly enter her room and sit down on the edge of her bed and then lovingly rubbed her back.

I look up at Mac just didn't help any it just makes me cry hard so I cover my face again.

"Shh... It's okay." I say quietly and stay where I was. It wasn't the first time I saw her cry, but the first time in many years.

"Why does it hurt so damn much?" I asked when I calmed down a bit.

"I don't know, sweetheart." I reply quietly. "I wish I could tell you..."

I nod a little and lay my head on his lap like when I was little.

I smiled a little and gently stroke her head, brushing a few strands of hair from her face.

I sigh a little and cover my wrist feeling ashamed.

I noticed but said nothing. I could imagine how she felt right now, but I had nothing to say about it right now. My job now was to be there for her and not to be mad or lecture her.

I look up at Mac. "I know your ashamed of me too Mac. So if your mad or want to lecture or yell that's fine."

I looked down at her surprise.
"I'm not ashamed of you Katrina. Maybe a little sad that you didn't tell about those cuts, but I believe you had a good reason not to. And don't feel like lecturing or yelling."

I sit up and pull my knees to my chest and look at him. "There is no reason to self harm. I say looking down.

"What do you mean?" I asked her a little confused.

"Its just......I don't know." I say keeping my head down.

I look at her and don't really know what to say.
"You know, sometimes we don't know why we do certain things and sometimes we don't need a reason to do something. But when someone hurts himself... or in this case herself I think she has a reason she may not know consciously." I said calmly, not knowing if it was going to help.

I laugh a little. "I started cause I was getting high Mac."

I smirk a little. "Okay... now that's a different story then. That always makes us do stuff for no reason. But I thought you stopped?" I arche a brow.

"Not totally." I also whisper and look down.

I sighed a little and looked at her.
"But I know you can do it."

"I'm not sure I want to." I say.

"Maybe not for yourself, but maybe for your little girl." I said in a gentle tone, as I knew Katrina didn't want her to be like she was, or had been.

I look at Mac. "I don't do it in front of her Mac."

"I know you don't." I reply and look down.

I sigh and put my head on my knees then groan a little.

I looked up at her, one thing was keeping me thinking.
"How did Stan know about the cuts?" I asked her, but in a kind way, not mad. "Just... asking you know."
