Fairwell Bill (Mac)

I was in class when the Headmaster had called me to her office. I hadn't done anything so I was unsure what she wanted, But when I got in the office a officer looked at me and asked me to sit, which I do after I say he had told me my father Bill had passed away. From what I understand he drank himself to death. Some how I feel a little guilty for not being there with him.

One of the detectives I worked with had already told me about Bill's death. Shortly after that the headmaster of Katrina's school called me and I was now on my way there. Somehow, I felt sorry for my uncle, but on the other hand I thought that maybe he now found his final peace.
Once at the school I walked up to the headmaster's office and waited to be called in.

After they told me I sat there for a minute then get up and walk out. They told me I could take some time off school, but I just shook my head and told them I'm fine.

Outside I was waiting for Katrina.

I walked out and looked at Mac. "Hey what are you doing here?" I asked him knowing why he was here.

"Your headmaster asked me to pick you up." I said honestly, looking at her.

"Well I'm sorry you wasted your time coming here cause I'm not taking off." I say looking at him.

"Katrina..." I started only to have her raise her hand.

"I'm late for class." I say and start to walk off.

I nodded.
"Mind if I pick you up after school?" I asked after her.

I look back. "If you want, but I can just walk." I tell him getting my stuff I need for class out of my locker.

"I'll pick you up." I said and then let her go to class.

I nod then go to my class. After school end I started walking home.

I was standing neaby and walked up to her as she started to walk home.
"Kat." I gently called her.

I turn and look at him. "Yea?" I asked not remembering he was going to pick me up.

"I thought I said I'd pick up?" I asked a little confused.

I rub my neck. "Oh yea sorry." I say to him.

"You okay, Katrina?" I asked her a little worried.

I nod. "Yea I'm good." I say looking at him.

"Okay." I said. "You still want a ride home?"

I sigh a little. "Sure." I say and follow him to his car.

Once we got in I took her home, me still wondering if she really was okay. I mean she never forgot if I wanted to pick her up...

I got a little stuck in my thoughts and just look out the window.

I stop in front of the house and then just looked at her. Something got me worried.
"Kat?"

"Hmmm?" She said not looking at him.
