Not an Accident [Thomas, Don]

"Not?" I asked surprised. "But I know that most of her personal stuff was taken, only a few things were there, when I've seen the place, to give it back to it's owner." I added. "Think we still find something?"

Thomas nodded, "We just might" he replied

I listen to the conversation highly intrested, definatly seeing motive for murder.

Thomas looked out the door to the office, "Come on in Don" he called out

I walked in and said "Thomas, if I get this correctly the young girl here is the daughter of Haylens best friend and a arms dealer?

Thomas nodded in reply, "Aye" he replied

I nodded to Don's words and then looked at Lilyana, who was standing next to me.
"May I ask you for a favor, Don?" I asked, knowing he was listening. I didn't mind, though as I could use some help with this.

Thomas looked at Haylen, then back at Don, wondering what she was going to ask

"So what do you need Haylen?

Thomas looked at Haylen

"Well... I want to go back to the house where she lived with Thomas... Lily McGee, my friend, was killed in a car crash... could you do some research on that and see if there is anything that suggest it wasn't a simple accident?" I asked him, hoping he was okay with that.

"Sure, Fine with me."

I gave him a small smile.
"Thanks Don."

Thomas watched the two, then looked at Haylen, "Lets go" he said to her

I nodded and then looked at Lilyana.
"You can stay in the breakroom until we get back." I told her and she nodded, following me and Thomas till we passed the breakroom. She went inside and I made my way for the elevator.

at the elevator, Thomas pressed the down button and waited, "She's a beautiful lass" he said to Haylen

I nodded at his words, not really looking up.
"She looks just like her mother." I said almost in a whisper.

Thomas nodded slightly as the doors opened up

I looked up at him a small smile and got into the elevator. I was a little lost in thoughts right now. The only person I've known better than myself kept such a big secret for so long and I did wonder why.

Thomas got on with her, then pressed one of the buttons, the doors closed, then took them down

"She musta had her reason for keeping this a secret." I said just before we got down.

Thomas nodded, "Agreed" he replied, "But what is it?" he asked

"I have no idea." I replied looking at him with a somewhat sad face.

Thomas looked at her, then nodded, "Looks like we have a long day then."

I nodded and sighed.
"Still can't believe she wanted me to be Lilyana's goddaughter, if I was to ever meet her." I said, as the elevator doors opened.
