Not an Accident [Thomas, Don]

I brought Hermann to the interrogation room then I waited for Haylen.

I walked down the hallway to the interrogation room, seeing Don and Thomas outside.
"Did he say anything, yet?" I asked as I reached them.

"Nothing."

"Let's talk to him." I said in a determined tone.

"ok then lets go in." I said while opening the door.

I followed him into the interrogation room and looked at Mr. Hermann, at the same time I had to think about his daughter Lilyana.

"OK, Mr.Hermann care to tell me why you hired someone to kill Det.Bishop?"

"Let's just say he was bad for business." Hermann replied.

"Bad for buisness, from what I piece toghter he knew too much about the possible murder Lily McGee."

"Do I look like I would kill my daughter's mother?" he asked, glaring at Don.
"To me you do, because she knew about your business and she wanted to come forward and get her daughter back. You FORCED her to leave Lilyana behind!" I growled at him, really getting angry.

Thomas was outside the interrogation room, watching closely, he knew that Haylen and Don would get an answer out of this guy

Hermann glared at me. Then it hit him.
"You're Lily's best friend, aren't you?" he asked and I merely nod.
"Look, I hired that guy to kill that cop, fine, but I didn't kill Lily." he said and something made me believe that.
But the momery of my late friend hit me more.

Thomas watched closely, something wasn't setting right with him

"Excuse me... be right back." I said to Don and walked out of the room, taking a deep breath once the door was closed behing me.

Thomas looked over at Haylen, then walked up to her, "Haylen, what is it?" he asked

I looked up at him and frown.
"I don't know... I thought he had something to do with her death, but when I looked into his eyes when he said he hasn't... there was something inside that made me want to believe that." I said quietly.

Thomas nodded in reply, "You know he did it?" he asked

I shook my head and look down.
"I don't know... he could have, but unless we find a prove a that there's nothing we can do." I said in a somewhat sad tone. "Yóu know... I don't even know if I can trust my judgement in this case."

Thomas watched Haylen, he had never seen her like this before


meanwhile, Shannon took Lilyana to her office

I looked up and sighed. Normally I wasn't like that, but today was just different.

Lilyana smiled happily. She was glad that she met nice people.

Thomas did what he could to comfort Haylen


Shannon smiled as she watched Lilyana, she was like Erin in a way

"I know you've been watching... do you believe him?" I asked him after a moment.

"No I don't" Thomas replied

"See, that's what I mean." I reply quietly and frown a little. "Didn't know it would still get that close to me."


Meanwhile Lilyana told Shannon a bit about her life in Germany.

"We all have that one case that does." Thomas replied
