Not an Accident [Thomas, Don]

Lilyana smiled when she looked at Haylen, "This is a nice place" she said

"Thanks. Glad you like it." I replied, walking up to her.

Lilyana giggled a bit in reply, holding her backpack at the same time

"Let me show you your new realm." I said to her. "And then we need to get your things, right?"

Lilyana nodded, "Okay" she replied, smiling at the same time, "What do I call you?" she asked, a bit concerned

"How do you like to call me?" I asked her, actually I was okay with her choosing how she liked to call me.

Lilyana thought for a moment, "Mom sounds a bit weird at the moment." she replied

"That may be true. I know it's hard for both of us for now, but I'm just glad we get along. So... whatever you choose to call me, I'm fine with. You could go with Aunt Haylen or just Haylen, as you wish." I told her in a gentle tone.

Lilyana nodded, "Aunt Haylen works" she replied, her eyes sparkling a bit in the light

I smiled and nodded. "Aunt Haylen it is then." I replied.

Lilyana smiled, then went to unbuckle

I let her time, putting a few things away in the kitchen that were left from breakfast. I still was a little shaken, but that Lilyana and I got along so well, gave a little of my courage back. while working in the kitchen, I thought about Thomas and Shannon and the lucky girl I was to have them.

Lilyana walked into the guest room and set her backpack down, then looked around the room

I finished and walked back, stopping in the door.
"Needs your touch in it, huh?"

Lilyana nodded in reply, "Yes it does" she replied

"Let me know when you're ready and we can get the most important things done now, okay?" I said.

Lilyana nodded, "I will Aunt Haylen" she replied before sitting on the bed

"I'll be in the kitchen." I said and walked back into the kitchen. I had have Erin and Colleen or Bridget over sometimes and I spent a lot of time with the girls, but now having to take care of a girl every day was still a little strange and I didn't know Lilyana that well, yet.

Lilyana opened her backpack and got one of her books out and started reading, after a while, she closed it, then put it back before walking into the kitchen

I looked up from my water when I saw her coming.

Lilyana looked at her, "I'm ready" she said

I smiled and got up. "Alright."

Lilyana nodded and smiled as she watched Haylen get up

I walked up to her and get my purse and keys and walk to the door with her.

Lilyana opened the door and walked outside
