Attack at the Cinema [Shannon, Thomas, Everyone]

Colleen and Erin glanced back at her, Colleen tried to comfort her sister as best she could

"Any more questions, officer?" I asked him after I finished my statement.

"No detective that is all" Officer Miller replied

I nodded and then watched him leave. I remained at my spot for a while longer and then slowly walked over to the car, where Erin and Colleen were in now, waiting for their parents to return. I wasn't sure about what to do, but I just wanted to be near them, but as I neared I was stopped by the officer watching them, he not knowing who I was.

"Sorry, but I was told only family could approach." the officer replied, at the same time, Shannon walked over, "Officer, its okay, Det. Becall is a friend of the family." she said to him

I gave the officer a small nod before Shannon told him it was okay and then looked at her, still a little uncertain about what I was going to do now.

the officer nodded to Shannon, then let Haylen by, Colleen and Erin looked at her, both trying to smile

I gave them a small smile, knowing they had seen a lot today. I looked at Shannon with a slight frown.

Shannon saw it, "What is it Haylen?" she asked

I looked down for a moment and up at her.
"Actually it was supposed to be a nice day. Felt different when I was stuck with them in restroom. The moment I saw the men outside, I knew I'd protect them with my life." I said quietly.

Shannon nodded, "You did great Haylen" she replied

And for the first time that I was outside I gave her a small smile.
"Thank you."

"Your welcome" Shannon replied softly as she sat with her daughters

"Guess it was expected." I said with a small shrug and looked at the girls.

Shannon looked at her, "You did what you were trained to do" she replied

I nodded.
"Basically." I said and tried a smile. "Just glad it turned out good."

Colleen and Erin nodded in reply, "Me two" Colleen added, Shannon nodded as she looked at her

Once I was done inside and everything was arranged outside I joined them outside, seeing who was still there and seeing if anyone needed any help.

I nodded when Colleen said that and gave her a smile.
"You two were great up there." I said to them.

Colleen nodded, as did Erin, it was clear that she was more on edge then what her sister showed

And I knew that, too.

Shannon walked over and sat next to Erin, holding her close

I watched them with a small smile.

Erin looked at Haylen, a slight smile came to her face

I was glad to see her smile and gently touched her cheek, before doing the same thing with Colleen, always careful that both girls got the same amount of attention if possible.
