Attack at the Cinema [Shannon, Thomas, Everyone]

Colleen listened to Haylen, then nodded, "I see" she replied

"Knew you're a smart girl." I said, smiling at her.

Colleen giggled, "But, what if boys don't like me because I'm smart?" she asked

"Men who don't like women, because they're smart are just envying you. They're not worth thinking about, sweetie." I said. "Besides, your mom's smart, too, right?"

Colleen nodded, "Yep she is" she replied

"See, and she's got a very good man." I said, smiling a little.

Colleen smiled as well, "Yes she did" she replied

"You'll someone like him, too. But till then you have a lot of adventures to live and a lot of time to find someone who treats you right." I said, gently touching her cheek.

Colleen smiled, "I know my knight is out there" she said, "Why did I say that?" the girl asked, she was not as girly as Erin and not into the whole 'knight and princess' thing

"Because there nothing wrong with that." I smiled, but I knew she wasn't into this knight and princess thing.

Colleen looked at Haylen, then nodded, "Every girl deserves a knight" she replied

"Correctly." I said in agreement.

Colleen smiled, "Even us tomboys" she added

"Yes even those." I said and smiled. "Especially you."

Colleen giggled in reply

I smiled.

Colleen smiled, then looked around her room, at the same time, Erin walked in, "When is mommy coming home?" she asked

I turned and looked at Erin, mentioning for her to come to me.
"Soon, sweetie. She just has to get something done for work. It won't take much longer." I told her.

Erin nodded, then sat next to Haylen and Colleen

True to my words I stayed with the girls, talking with them and then playing a small game I remembered from my childhood.

Erin and Colleen giggled as they played, meanwhile, Shannon finished up at the crime lab and headed home

Actually after today I was glad the girls enjoyed the little game and we actually had a good time together. I smiled and giggled with them, forgetting about the days events for now.

the girls forgot as well, Shannon soon came home and heard them giggling upstairs

I heard the door downstairs, being trained to notice important things and smiled a little.
