A little talk [Mac]

"Hope it tastes good, too." I reply with a little smile and sit down next to her again, handing her her cup of coffee.

I smile and take the coffe "it surely will"

I smile a little and take a sip from my coffee.

I blow into the cup, it's still hot and I don't want to burn my tongue

I smile a little when I watch her from the corner of my eyes.

I finally take a sip of the coffee and smile "this really is good"

My smile widens a little when she says that to me.
"Glad to hear that." I say in a shy tone.

"What did you do this time to let it taste so good?"

"Changed the coffee brand?" I say with a smirk. I really did that.

"good choice you made in the store then! I love it!"

"Like it much better, too. So guess I'll buy it more often, then." I say and smile a little more. "Glad you like it."

"you really have to! Its great coffee!" I say with a smile

I nod and keep my smile and then offer her one of the cookies.

I take a cookie and smile "did you make them?" i ask with a smile

"Uh... actually I did." I say. "But it was a first time."

"I'm surprised" I say with a smile and start eating to cookie. "it's great! Well done!"

"Thanks, was surprised myself." I say in a light tone and eat my cookie.

I smile and finish the cookie.

I leaned back and felt a little more at ease now. Well, if she didn't want to live together as a family, then I was going to make the best out of our friendship.

I take a sip of the coffee and put the cup down

I stayed quiet for a bit, lost in thoughts and absently staring into my cup of coffee.

"Are you ok?" I dare to ask while looking at him wondering what he's thinking about

I snap out of my thoughts and look at her with a small smile.
"Yeah, just... lost in thoughts." I reply with a small sigh.

Normally I would ask what kind of thoughts but I better leave that up to him now. "ok"

I just give her a puzzled look when she didn't aks me what I was thinking, as she usually does, but say nothing. Maybe she doesn't want to know, maybe she already knows...
