A little talk [Mac]

"Stella. She's going to be fine." I tell her gently. I know she's upset, but can't she just allow me to offer her some kind of comfort whitout taking my words literally? Please?

"She has to" I whisper and pull away a little.

I look at her when she pulls away, my hands now gently resting on her upper arms.
"She will."

"it's all my fault.."

"Don't... it's not your fault, Stella." I say quietly, trying to get that thought out of her mind.

"If I didn't change my shift with Lindsay to go to your dinner party this all wouldn't have happened, probably"

"Oh c'mon... we don't even know if this has anything to do with, Stella." I say somewhat sad but gentle. I hate to see her like this, yes, but I could also understand what she was going through. "Don't blame yourself, because if and yes I do strech the if, this is anyone's fault it could also be mine."

"I'm the one taking care of her, I should have seen it coming" I frown and sit down on the chair

I sit down next to her, shaking my head.
"How should you? I mean... she never acted different lately, did she?"

"Not that I noticed, but I must admit I was working a lot lately"

"Yeah, but I didn't notice her change either, despite yesterday..." I say quietly, gently rubbing her back.

"Let's just hope she can tell us why"

"She probably can, but I wonder if she even wants to tell us..." I say quietly, looking at Stella.

I look up at you and slightly frown "She has to"

I smirk a little when she says that. She has to, as we were her parents, but teenage girls had their own minds at times.
"She probably will." I almost whisper.

"yea probably" rests my head on your shoulder

I wrap my arm around her shoulder and offer whatever kind of comfort I could.

"How long do you think it will take?"

"That depends on how many pills she took..." I reply, almost whispering the word pills. "And when she took them... half an hour up to several hours?" I honestly didn't know.

"not longer than an hour, I saw her before I left" I tell him

"I hope so too" I say and sigh, I really am worried about her

I gently rub her arm, my arm still wrapped around her shoulder. I could tell she was worried, but so was I. I just hoped our daughter was going to be fine, though I almost fear to know why she did that.

"Mac what if she won't be ok?" I ask knowing he won't know either

"Let's deal with it when it comes that way. For now just hope she's okay." I say softly. "Either way you know I'll never leave you alone."
