NYPD Major's Ball [everyone]

"I think you can be just as stubborn as I am." I retort with a smirk and as the music stops not much later the mood changes a little.
"Okay, let's get this over with." I comment quietly, looking at Stella.

"this better be over quickly because I hate this part" I whisper in Mac's ear while I take a hold of his arm and watch the first speech

"Me, too." I whisper back and then quietly watch the first speech. I hate those political speeches... Just so not Taylor-like.

Luckily the speech is short and so is the second.. But than the 3rd one starts.. It's long and boring.. I frown and rest my head on Mac's shoulder

I smile when she does that and wrap my arm around her shoulders, 'enjoying' the third speech.

" I never thought I would say this but, can we get outta here?" I say with a sleepy voice

"Sadly we have to wait till he's done. It's the last one for now..." I say quietly and stifle a yawn. This was boring.

"That's right for now.. I'm surprised they didn't ask you to give us all a speech" I tease with a big smile

"Sinclair knows I'm not into those political things, thought the major is asking me to do that a few times already..." I say quietly.

"Well if you will do it next year I'll definitely watch, I mean the eye wants something too and I have to say I'm not liking the view they are giving me now" I smile

"You would like the view I'd give up there?" I ask a little surprised.

"Oh yes, nothings better than watching your partner on the stage"

"You can't be serious..." I say and smirk. "You know I hate speeches, right?"

"Oh I'm very serious Taylor" I smile "I know and I do hate them too but not when it's you"

"Am not good at giving speeches." I say and frown. Does she mean that serious or is she flirting with me?

"Did I ever say something about me caring about what you say on there? I was talking about the 'view' Mac" I grin

"You can have that even without me being on stage..." I say with a coy smile.

My lips are pressed against each other and I slowly shake my head "That's still different"

"But I hate stages... and crowds watching me... press conferences are enough..." I try with a small smirk.

"That's such a shame" I fake a pout and smile right after it

"I know... but some day I won't be able to refuse anymore..." I say and sigh.

"And I'll be waiting for that day on the edge of my chair" I grin and imagine Mac giving a speech on the large stage ^^

"I bet you are." I say with a small smile. But she doesn't know that I had to go up there today and say a few words about the successful year of my lab. I keep that to myself for one reason: I hate speeches.

"Well I'm sure you would do great Mac, as always" I grin and turn around to see if I Lindsay and Danny came, they weren't sure if they would come because of Lucy.

"Thanks." I say quietly. I hope I will....
