Shannon nodded, then thanked Lily

"Can I go see ma?" Lily asked Shannon with hope in her voice.

Shannon looked at Lily, "Not yet lass" she said gently

Lily made a sad face but nodded. "Who would do that to her, auntie?" she asked sadly.

Shannon sighed, "I'm not sure" she replied

Lily nodded, still looking sad.

Shannon put her arm around Lily, "Your mom is going to be okay, Lily." she said to her

Lily looked up at her aunt and nodded. "But I know she's hurt."

Shannon nodded, "Lily, I can't let you see her just yet." she replied

"I know." Lily said looking up.

Meanwhile I told Thomas a little more about the case and why they thought I had a motive to kill Melissa Jordon.

Thomas listened to Haylen as she spoke to him, keeping his anger at bay

Once I was done I looked at Thomas. "Is that going to help?"

Thomas nodded, "Yes its going to" he replied

I nodded and tried a small smile.

Thomas smiled back, then went back to the lab

I had to stay right where I was and sighed a little. This was going to be a long night....
Meanwhile Lily went to my office to draw, knowing she had a scatch book and pencils there.

Meanwhile the real killer tried to get rid of any traces leading to him. Overlooking that his name was in a court file from two years ago, when Melissa pressed charges against him for harrassment.

Lily couldn't concentrate on her drawing so walked around the lab for a moment, stopping in the door to the lab, where Thomas was working unsure if she was allowed.

it took a while, but Thomas soon found the file and saw the name, then saw Lily, "Lily, what are you doing here?" he asked

"Just wandering around the lab... killing time." she said, looking at him.

Thomas nodded, "Come in, but you can't see what I'm working on okay?"

"I know...." Lily said and sighed as she walked in.

Thomas nodded, then looked back at the screen, the bio of the man he found coming up

Lily sat down on a stool, looking around the lab.
