spending time with his niece (Haylen)

Thomas looked over at her, "Good job Lilyana" he told her

"Thank you uncle Thomas." she replied smiling a little. "Do you know any German songs?" she asked, having one in mind she liked to sing very much.

"No I don't" Thomas replied, despite the fact he had been in Germany several times before

Lilyana smiled. "May I sing a song for you?" she asked him.

"Go right ahead, lass" Thomas replied

Lilyana smiled and sang her favorite song, called "Heute hier morgen dort."

Thomas listened to Lily as she sang, she had a great singing voice for her age

After she finished the song she looked at Thomas, smiling a little. "One of my favorte songs. Though I should have brought the guitar."

Thomas nodded and smiled, "Indeed it was" he replied, he then sang one of the songs he learned fro his army days

Lilyana listened to him, smiling as she did. She didn't know the song, but she definitely liked who was singing.

Thomas soon finished, the meat was done at the same time

"You're an amazing singer, uncle Thomas." Lilyana smiled at him.

"And so are you Lilyana" Thomas replied as he got the food onto the plates he had with him

"Thank you." she smiled happily. "Where did you learn the song?" Lilyana then asked curiously.

"When I was at Sandhurst" Thomas replied

Lilyana frowned a little. "So it's a song you learned while being with the army?"

"Yes" Thomas replied, "Why do you frown?" he asked

"I don't know. My father didn't like talking about his time in the army. He says it's nothing anyone should see." Lilyana replied in a somehwhat sad tone.

Thomas nodded, "Thats understandable" he replied, knowing full well were Lily's father was coming from

Lilyana nodded and looked down at her meal.

Thomas prayed, then started to eat

Lilyana had done the same, just as she was taught and slowly started into her dinner.

Thomas looked over at her, "You okay?" he asked, concern in his voice

Lilyana looked up and smiled a little, nodding at the same time.
"Yeah."

Thomas nodded, then continued eating, "I remember the first time I went camping, I was completely nervous."
