One abuse Vitim to another. (Thomas/Haylen/Mac)

I giggled a little and walked silently.

Thomas walked next to her, smiling a bit at the same time

On the way back I was thinking about how we learned about our family relations and how easily we both took up on it. I smiled when I remembered the scene at the hospital.

Thomas looked over at her, "What you smiling about?" he asked

"Remembered the scene at the hospital, the very first time we were like that." I replied.

I smiled. "Good lets hope she don't hurt the little girl."

Thomas nodded, "I remember" he replied

Mac looked at Katrina before he said in a serious tone "She won't."


I looked at Thomas and smiled. "Good to see the other side of you as well."

Thomas nodded in reply, "Its good to see that in you as well."

I smiled. "Rarely get to show it. I doubt suspects like it." I stated, smirking a little.

I look at Mac. "What makes you so sure of that?"

"I thought you've been watching the interrogation? Meanwhile I've been doing my homework. She loves her daughter more than anything and the little girl confirmed it. Once you talked to her, she'd talk to another female officer, who took care of her." I told her.

Thomas smiled at Haylen when she said that

I smiled back at him.

"Better get to my report" Thomas said to her

"Probably should do the same." I nodded in agreement.

Thomas nodded back, then turned to walk back to his office

I watched him leave and then went for mine.

once in his office, Thomas got to work on his report, meanwhile, the suspect was moved to central lock up

I stared at Mac, it seems I mad him a bit mad with my question. "Bill loved me at one point too."

Thomas continued with his report

I looked at Katrina, not knowing what to say, so I looked down.
"I get your point Katrina, but her mother's the only family she has left and she's very protective over her daughter. In fact, Sterling's mother reminds me a lot of you." I said calmly.

I nod. "She's just....So little Mac, I don't want to see her hurt. You think her mom would let me go see Sterling sometime?" I ask gently

I was a little surprised when she asked me and thought for a moment.
"Well, I don't know for sure, for but it won't hurt asking her, right?" I said, nodding to the hallway where Sterling ran up to her mother, who just arrived.

I nod slowly and step out of Mac's office and up to her mother.
