Before the case (anyone)

I walked into the break room, following Stella. I took a coffee, I had left the appartement quickly in the morning and didn't have time for one. "So, for how long have you been working here?" I asked. She seemed pretty experienced, although I hadn't seen her to work. But the fact that she was Mac's assistant was saying a lot.

"More than 10 years, don't exactly remember honestly, the time passed by so quickly" I smile and sit down next to Ivy with my coffee "for how long have you been working as a csi?" I ask her with a smile and take a sip of my coffee

"One year," I smiled. "Only one. I tried in LA, before coming here, but from a reason, it was pretty difficult to readjust."

"It's a good thing you came to NY, it's much better than LA" I smile and take another sip of my coffee

"Well, it seems to be," I smiled. "Even though I haven't met anyone yet, excepting you and Det.Taylor, of course, I have a feeling it's going to be better."

"Our team is really nice, I'm sure you'll meet them all soon, I'll introduce them to you when we see them" I smile

Kayla walked into the break room she wasnt really busy but she need a coffee she like NY coffee better than in London. She saw Stella and another girl she looked younger than herself she walked to the freshed brewed coffee keeping to herself

"Lovely," I smiled. "So, are you guys working on any case right now or did the criminals give us a little break?"
In that moment I've seen another woman coming in and going to take a coffee. She didn't say anything, not even a 'Hi', so I turned back to Stella.

"At the moment we are waiting for some results, I hope Adam will call anytime soon with some news" I reply and watch Kayla walking into the break room without saying anything "Hey Kayla, you ok?" I dare to ask while I look back to Ivy for a moment

Kayla turned to face Stella and Ivy "Hi, Yeah im okay thanks im just getting a coffee, I didnt interupt did i?" She asked looking at them

"Not at all," I said, although she seemed a little weird to me, I have no idea why. "Det. Ivy Smith, by the way. I'm new."

"Nice too meet you Ivy Welcome to NY Crime lab Im Det. Kayla Marshell im kind of new here ive been here a few days" Kayla smiled and held her hand out

"Oh, so we're in a similar situation," I smiled, shaking her hand. "It's nice to meet you too, I came just today."

I smile as the two girls start to talk.

Kayla smiled "yeah, So How are you liking it so far?" Kayla asked

Thomas walked in and saw Stella, Kayla and another woman, 'Has to be new' he thought to himself as he walked over to the refrigerator, "Hello" he said to Ivy in his Irish accented voice

While I was talking to Kayla, I heard another voice. Well, it seems like I'm going to meet all the team soon. I turned around and saw a man going to the refrigerator. He greeted, in an Irish accent. I couldn't help but smile at this. Plus, he didn't look bad at all. "Hi," I said.

Thomas smiled a bit, "Your the new detective?" he asked after getting a water from the refrigerator and closing the door

I greet Thomas with a hey and a little wave as I let him talk to the new detective in our team, I'm so lucky to have friendly people in my team I think to myself and finish my coffee

Thomas looked over at Stella and nodded, "Morning Stella" he said to her before turning back to Ivy

I left the cup of coffee on the little table. "Yes. Det. Ivy Smith," I answered and held out a hand.

Thomas nodded, then shook her hand, "Welcome to the team" he said to her

"Thank you," I answered, then I turned to Stella. "I gotta go now, I still have some stuff to sort. Uhm... I guess we'll see each other when we'll have to work."

"Aye lass" Thomas replied as he stood up straight, "Have a great day" he added

'Lass? Am I that young?' I thought. "Thanks," I said. "You too."
Then I went to the door, ready to leave, when it opened, almost hitting me.
