at the same time, Thomas got Catherine to the hospital and took her to her husband's room, once there, Cathrine ran to his side and took his hand, Thomas stood in the doorway and watched

While waiting for a match on the fingerprint I found, I thought about the lucky one, who was once again able to do the honors. But I quickly pushed that thought aside as I got a match to one of the guys we took down.
"All adding up..." I said to myself.

after a while, Thomas left the hospital and headed back to the crime lab

I was just finishing up on the evidence, wrapped up in reading something, not noticing I had an audience.

Thomas looked at her, "Almost done?" he asked

I jumped a little hearing him but then nodded.
"Almost."

Thomas saw her jump, "Forgive me" he said to her while walking in

"Always." I replied, giving him a small smile.

Thomas nodded in reply, "William is going to be okay, Catherine is shook up, but other wise unhurt." he told her

"Thankfully. Evidence add up to what we found. Fingerprint was from one of the guys we took down. Too bad that Cory was right, he was going to die anyways." I said quietly.

"Aye" Thomas replied, "But all that matters now is that the prince and his wife are okay." he added

My turn to nod in reply. "I was more than happy to change when I got here..."

Thomas nodded, then helped Haylen finish up

I stayed silent for the rest of the time, not sure what else to say.

Thomas did the same

Once done with finishing up I sighed a little.

Thomas looked at her, "You okay?" he asked gently

I looked at him for a moment and then nodded.

Thomas smiled a bit, then turned and walked out of the room

I sighed again and then got out of my lab coat, walking out as well. Somehow I still felt bad about earlier.

Thomas walked back to his office and sat down at the desk, he went over the case file and filled out his report

I did the same and then sat in my office for a while, actually just staring into nowhere, after my report was done.

Thomas finished his and submitted it, then sat back in his chair

After I while I got up and was on my way to the locker room, but stopped at his office, seeing he was still here. I leaned again the door frame and knocked.
