Not an Accident [Thomas, Don]

it was Thomas, "You going to be okay?" he asked her

I turned to look at him, I knew no one ever saw me like this before. Not being able to say something, I just nodded.

Thomas watched her, then comforted her the best he could

Being close to him I lay my head on his shoulder for a moment, drawing a bit of strength knowing that I could always count on both, him and Shannon.

meanwhile, Kaitlin asked Lilyana about herself

A few moments later I lift my head, kissing his cheek before pulling back and looked at him.

Lilyana told Kaitlin everything she wanted to know, as best as she could.

Thomas smiled a bit, then let got of Haylen, "Better lass?" he asked gently


"What do you like to do for fun?" Kaitlin asked

I gave him a small smile and nod. "I think so... thanks." I replied.


Lilyana thought for a moment. "I love skating and drawing. But I also love to read about science and read in general." she said.

Thomas nodded in reply, "Thats good" he replied

Kaitlin nodded, "What to you want to be when you grow up?"

"Good to have good friends." I replied looking at both him and Shannon.


"Profiler, like the guys from that TV show 'Numbers'." Lilyana replied proudly.

"Indeed it is" Shannon replied, Thomas nodded in agreement


Kaitlin nodded, "Thats a tough job from what I hear." she replied, "You up to it?"

I gave them a smile and nodded.


Lilyana looked at Kaitlin. "I am." she replied seriously, thinking about the fact that she just got her own father into a prison cell.

Thomas looked back to the room that Lilyana was in, Kaitlin nodded as she wrote on the pad that was with her

"Think it'll work?" I asked him, watching Kaitlin and Lilyana.

Thomas looked back at Haylen, "I do" he replied

I smiled a little and put my hands into my pockets, they were still trembling a little.

Kaitlin soon finished with Lilyana, then walked out to were Thomas, Halyen and Shannon stood

I looked at her, anxiously waiting for what she'd say.

"Det. Becall, I see no problems with you taking Lilyana in." Kaitlyn said to her

I smiled obviously relieved. "Thank you."

"Your most welcome, I will have the papers to you by the end of the week." Kaitlyn replied, at the same time, Lilyana walked up to Haylen

I nodded and then smiled at Lilyana.

Lilyana smiled back, "I'm ready to go" she replied, her backpack on

I looked at Thomas and Shannon.
"You two helped me a lot today. Somehow a thank you almost doesn't seem enough..." I said seriously.

Thomas and Shannon both nodded, "Agreed" Shannon replied
