I Dance with Cinderella (Mac)

Being the observant man he was, he noticed that. As soon as he finished the story, the little girl was asleep and he softly kissed her head before going to bed, too.

End of Flashback
I looked at Mac and just laugh.

"What? you don't believe it?" I asked her in wonder.

"No, I do I was just remembering that stupid book I make you read to me so many times." I say smiling at him.

"Oh yes, you did that quite a lot." I said smiling at her. "Besides... I still have that book."

I look up at him shocked. "You kept it? Why?" I asked not really sure why he would kept that thing.

I shrugged.
"I don't know. Just did." I said, really not knowing why I kept it.

I smile at him. "That"s kinda sweet."

I smile back at her.
"Well, that book holds a lot of memories."

I nod and lay my head on his shoulder. "Remember when I broke my arm at the park with you, and made you tell me that story in the hospital, then kept correcting you when you said a part wrong?"

"Oh yes, that I do remember. You knew that story word by word." I said thinking about that day in the hospital.

Flashback
Six year old Katrina was bored at Mac's as he was doing some paper work. She walked to him and poked him.

Mac looked at Katrina, sighed a little, but put his pen down and poked her back.

She giggled. Me bored." She then used her weapon on him and pulled out her puppy face.

Mac looked at his little cousin, understanding that she was bored all alone in his apartment with him working, so he closed the file he was working on and turned to her, picking her up, so she was sitting on his lap.
"I know, sweetie." he said to her.

She looked up at him. "Can we go to park?" Her little face lit up.

Mac looked at his watch and then nodded.
"I think we can do that." he said.

She smiled kissing his cheek then getting down.

mac smiled back at her and then got up as well, getting his keys and jacket while he made sure Katrina wore hers.

"No jacket!" She said trying to get it off.

"You can take it off when we're there, okay?" he tried the gently way.

She nodded and followed him out.

Mac smiled a little, locked his apartment and as they stepped out of the building he took her hand, leading her to the park.

At the park she was on the swing trying to swing herself.

Mac was on the swing next to her, showing her how to do it. He looked at her tries, which wasn't that bad.
