I Dance with Cinderella (Mac)

My mouth dropped then I pouted.

"Aw." I said and smiled a little. "You know, you always did that face to me, when I said something you didn't wanna hear. Even as a small girl."

I smiled at him not really remembering when I was little. "Really?"

"Yeah and you learned quickly how to use it against me." I added, thinking of the times I watched her, almost feeling like she was my daughter, by that amount of time we spent together.

I smiled.
Flashback
Little five year old Katrina was running from Mac not wanting to go to bed.

Of course Mac was chasing after her, knowing she didn't want to go bed, but Mac knew she also was tired. Of course he could have caught her long ago, but he wanted to give her some time to use up her power. Some time he stopped near the couch, looking at the small girl.

She didn't notice and kept running. She ran a little to close to him and squealed when He picked her up.

Mac picked her, holding her close and tickled her a little.
"You're not gettin' away again, squirt." he told her gently.

"We see 'bout thats." She said kicking her feet trying to get down.

Knowing she would do that Mac grabbed her feet and then held up, her had down, facing him.

She looked at with a little glare placed on her face. "Lets me go."

"Will you go to bed then?" Mac asked her seriously.

No!" she said folding her little arms.

Mac sighed and set her onto her feet again, his hand gently resting on her shoulders as he looked at her, thinking about something she couldn't resist agreeing to.
"Well... than I don't read your favorite story to you tonight." I said, hoping it would work.

Katrina's mouth dropped then she pulled out the puppy face. "But...but...but" She pouted her lip.

"Go and get ready for bed and I'll read to you. And tomorrow we're going to the park, okay?" Mac suggested. It was hard for him to resist that look on her face.

She nodded and run to the room to change. She loved when Mac would read to her.

When she ran to her room Mac smiled a little and got the book she loved so much.

She was all done getting dressed now she was trying to brush her hair, but was having a hard time.

"Want me to help you?" Mac asked her, standing in the door way.

She looked at him. "Please." She said holding the brush out to him.

Mac took it, got down on his knees and gently brushed her hair.

She smiled as he finished and climbed in bed.

Mac smiled at her and then sat down on the edge and started reading her favorite story.

She was trying her hardest not to fell asleep, but her eyes where getting heavy.
