She hugged Shannon tight.

Shannon smiled as she and Katrina hugged

Katrina's eyes were still a little red from drugs.

In the meantime I was talking to a social worker, the same one the Kelly's had talked to before Bill got Katrina back. I knew Katrina was going to be pissed at me, because I talked to that person and had to tell her a little more about the circumstances. At least that was what I thought.
I let out the part with her father beating her up, but said she was caught by the police and her father neglected his duties. The social worker seemed to be on our side this time, though she also wanted to talk to Katrina.

Shannon took Katrina back to her room, her arm around her as they walked

Katrina looked at her. "I'm so sorry for all of this."

"Its not your fault Katrina" Shannon said to her

"Yes it is. This all would never had happened if I didn't ask you to adopt me." She said looking down.

"Katrina, if we didn't adopt you, we never would have found out." Shannon replied

"Found out what? How weak I am?" She said.

"That your father was hurting you." Shannon replied

She looked at her. "Thomas knew that's why he wanted to take me in the first time."

Shannon nodded in reply, "We will keep you safe here Katrina" Thomas called out to her

Katrina jumped hearing him then sighed. "Sorry."

Thomas walked up to her, "Your forgiven" he said to her gently

She nodded slowly then looked at him.

I exited the room first to give the KElly's some privacy while thinking "Very touching."

She looked at Flack knowing what he was thinking. "If you had a life like mine you would be a little scared too."

Thomas nodded in reply

Hearing that last sentence I also nodded. I looked at Katrina and Thomas.
"I talked to the social worker again. I think she's on our side this time. Katrina, you need to talk to her." I told her gently.

Thomas looked at Mac, then at Katrina

She sighed and nodded. "If you say so." She said and rubbed her wrist.

"You should Katrina" Thomas said to her gently

She nodded slowly. "Ok."

Thomas smiled a bit
