Thomas looked behind Mac, "The door behind you" he said in a low voice

I nod and slowly move away, to turn around.

Thomas walked up to the door and opened it, Sandra Perez was inside, zip tied and blindfolded, but clearly terrified

"Surely not what I expected." I said quietly as I helped Thomas getting the woman free.

Thomas removed the blindfold from Sandra's eyes, then looked at her

Sandra looked at Mac after Thomas cut the zip ties off her, "Were are the others?" she asked, her Spanish accent notice able

I look at Thomas not sure what to say now.
"We don't know yet. Do you know who did this to you?"

"No" Sandra replied, "All I remember is someone grabbing me after I left the science lab two nights ago." she said, Thomas nodded, then sighed

"Well, you're safe now." I said.

Sandra nodded as Thomas helped her up and took her outside, calling for back up at the same time

While I watched him leave with Sandra I stayed inside to finish my investigations, but at the same time I thought about possible reasons why she was left here and why she was the only one left here. What kind of message was that? I thought we'd never see any of them ever again? Then why leave her here?

outside, Thomas handed Sandra off to the EMTs, then went back in to join Mac, "Sandra is with the EMTs, she's still shaken up, but will be okay." he said to his boss

"At least some good news." I said to him with a firm nod. "Just keep wondering why they left her here. Think this was their first hiding spot? Or just some kind of message?"

Thomas listened to Mac, "I have to go with first hiding spot." he replied, "And if that is the case: were did they move the others too?" he asked his boss, looking dead in the face as he said that

I looked at Thomas and nodded.
"My guess was the first hiding spot. Still leaves the question why Sandra Perez was left here. We should consider that they might come back."

Thomas nodded, he then went to check on the EMTs, they were still there, he had them take Sandra to the hospital with NYPD escort

In the meantime I started to take pictures and collect all possible evidence from the small room where Sandra was put into. Next to a footprint in the dusty back of the room I only found a roll of duct tape. I collected it and noted to try to find fingerprints or maybe DNA on it we could use to find those criminals.

at the same time, Thomas processed the outside of the house, walking around slowly, it was then that he came upon a door that led to the basement, gloves on, Thomas opened the door and walked in, his eyes adjusting to the low light, he got his flashlight out and turned it on before he continued looking around

In the mean time I was finishing up inside the small room and then continued my search in the main room. Not finding much, but at least some fingerprints and much to my surprise some blood on the floor in the back of the room.

downstairs, Thomas had his gun out and read as he searched around, as he walked, he thought he heard a cry, he made his way to back of the room to, ready for anything

I knew that Thomas was outside but as I walked out of the building and didn't see him there, I got a little worried and asked the officer near the stairs to the basement where he was and I was told he went down there. I was thinking if I should join him, but then thought it might look overly concerned... Do your job Mac and follow him. my brains told me and so I readied my gun and flashlight and went down as well.

"Is anyone else down here?" Thomas called out into the dimly lit room, his gun up and in front of him as he stood were he was

I herd his voice from some distance and keep quiet for a while. I guessed he might have heard something so I didn't want to ruin any chance we might have to find our girls alive.

Thomas waited, no reply, after a while, he continued his search of the room
