I look at Mummy, still angry and sad.

"I want that you both are at home, that we are doing more things together and all. You are never there, there are always other people who are watching and taking care of me. You come at home in the eve and bring me to bed, that was it. I don't want that!"

I say and try to don't yell.

"Karina... I'm at home 4 days a week and I only work 3 days, so there you go to the crèche 3 days a week from 8:30am till 4pm, some parents work even more and their kids never see their parents. your dad will be home more often and bring you to bed"

I wish I could work less then 3 days, but that is impossible.
I get her point with Mac he really has to be home more often, I miss him too.

I looked at Karina.

-I will take all my days off and we'll go to places like zoo, circus or where you want to go. I will go home earlier in th evening.

This time I was going to go to talk to Sinclair and I won't let him do what he wanted with me. Karina and Stella were more important !

the anger start to boil in me...
how does she dare to say that..
I only work 3 days a week...
I used to work 6 days...
and she says I'm not at home enough..
this is so unfair she has no idea what a job is like..

I know she's right...
I indeed work all day even when I’m at home, I'm just scared that something goes wrong at the lab or with the evidence..
I have to let it go... let my laptop stay at my desk...
and play with my girl...

Of course I understood my parents as well. They needed to work cause New York had to be safe. They needed to earn money and all...
But one thing was pretty clear: Adults are complicated.
