I had a day off today so Stella and I had decided to go in town and buy our dear little girl's gifts. We found someone to look after her. It was rare we were completely alone and it would be a very good occasion to talk about the special gift we were asked for by our daughter.

So we were in the street going to a toys shop.

It is almost Christmas and we were really late with buying a gift for our Karina, but we both were so busy lately.
I'm glad we finally found time to do this together.

"Do you have something in mind for Karina?"

I hold his hand while we walk up to the toyshop.

I looked at Stella.

-Not really... She already has dolls.... I do not really know what girls want... I had no sister...

I smiled.

-I only know she wants a sister... She's always asking me.

"But a sister won't be on time... if we want another child."

I smile as well

"She was also talking about tropical fish, But we can't put that under the tree, Can we?"

I laughed.

-I know... But maybe we could have the news she could have one brother or a sister.... Except if you don't want to have an other child...

I thought about a fish.

-No we cannot... But we could put it hidden somewhere and then... We would show her !

My smiling face turns into a worried one... I sigh...

"and Mac there is something I have to tell you...."

-What ? Is there something wrong ?

"well I was 5 weeks late and I.. euhh... I did a test and it turned out to be positive so I went to the doctor... turns out that I'm pregnant!"

I smiled a little smile, hoping Mac would be happy

I looked at her letting her hand. Slowly, as I understood what it meant, my lips stretched into a big smile.

-Oh Stell, that's wonderful ! So wonderful I have difficulties to realize you're really pregnant !

I laughed.

-I know a little girl who will be so happy ! And I guess I have an idea to announce it to her !

My smile almost reached my ears, I'm so glad he likes it

"Yeah she will be really happy! so how do you want tell her?"

I passed my hand on her cheek.

-We could put a photo from the echograph in an envelop and put it with her gifts... If you are okay of course !

"that sounds like a fantastic idea, I euhh have an appointment by the doctor tomorrow for that and I'm wondering if you will come with me"

His hand on my cheek feels so good, glad he's mine

Yeah, even if I had to go to work I will stop the time of the appointment. This new life was more important that any investigation !

"Okay well at 2 pm we have to be by the doc. let's buy some tropical fish for Karina now"

I grab his hand who isn't on my cheek.

I laughed and smiled when she grabbed my hand.

-Let's go.

Then we entered a pets shop.

I point at a beautiful tropical fish with a big colorful tail

"they are so beautiful!"

-Yeah ! I'm sure it will please her ! Those colors are wonderful !

I looked around and saw others colored fishes.

-Those are very beautiful too ! Has she a preferred color for her tropical fish ?

"I don't think so, I think we should buy around 5 fishes maybe more, otherwise she will say the fishes are alone"

I look around, there are so many beautiful fishes

"hmmm we also need an aquarium since they can't live without"

I turn around and walk up to a few aquariums in the middle of the shop

I followed her and we looked at the aquarium. I saw one decorated with different kinds of plants.

-This one is tall and looks good ?

I can already imagine Karina's face when she sees this, She's gonna love it

I took a box with the same aquarium and followed Stella to the man who was in charge with fishes to tell him which fishes we wanted.

we ended up with 7 fishes for in the aquarium.
we paid the aquarium and the fishes and turned back to our car,
we placed the aquarium on the back seat and I helt the fishes while we drove home.

I went to the driver seat and before to go looked at Stella who was holding the fishes.

-Can I let you at home ? I have some work to do before to go home with us.

Lier. I hoped she didn't guess I lied.

I take a deep breath and sigh.. of course he's going wo work.. I really start to wonder if he still loves me and Karina.. He's at work so often lately..

I was embarrassed but I couldn't tell her what I was really going to do.

-I will be back very soon. That's not something very long. Don't worry.

I knew she felt bad when I had no real time for them. But today that was not the case.
