A walk to remember

Mac and I both left the NYPD after an interrogation. It had been quite a long day so we decided to go home, luckily we had already cleaned up the house a couple days ago so we would come home in a very clean apartment. Normally we would take a cab or our car, but because it was such a great day in the morning and still is we walked to the NYPD and would walk back home as well. It was getting dark but still we wanted to walk. I have nothing to be scared of with Mac by my side. I hold his hand tight in mine and walk down the street.

I was tired after the long day, but the walk home and cool air did a good job to whipe a little bit of that out of my face. I actually enjoyed the walk home and held Stella's hand while we walk, glad it was a nice evening.
"Good thing the weather didn't chance today." I said as a matter of factly.

"You're right, but I'm sure the NYPD would have an umbrella for us if it was raining"
I smile and gently squeeze his hand.
"Besides we don't live too far from here"
I look at Mac for a second than look back at the street. I guess I shouldn't have worn those heels, but this morning I couldn't find anything better.
"You know that we should go shopping sometime soon"
I say smiling

I nodded and then arched my brow at her shopping comment, but then shrugged.
"Well, couldn't hurt." I said. Honestly, I didn't mind, as I actually liked to go shopping with her. Okay, I liked everything as long as I was with Stella, but that's a different story.

"You need some new boxers honey, they are getting old"
I whisper in his ear and grin.
"Besides I need some nice dresses, It's getting summer soon"
I smile and imagine going to the beach

I feel my face turn red when she whispered about the boxers.
"What's wrong with old..?" I start but quickly stop. ""oh well, nice dresses sound good to me." I reply still blushing.

I smile and playfully slap your shoulder.

"I knew you would like it, but will you also like the fact that I'm using your credit card?"
I look at this cheeks who are still slightly red, it's so cute.

I smirked a little.
"As long as we'll have enough left to pay the rent and have some food, I don't mind." I say with a slight chuckle.

"I'll keep that in mind. I would buy the dresses by myself, but you know, my boss doesn't wanna pay me more"
I smile a big smile and look at you for a second again before watching my steps again. In New York you always have to watch your steps before you know it you're laying on the ground, face down ^^

"Too bad. My boss doesn't pay me more either." I reply.

I smile and look into some stores, they are already closed but that doesn't matter, window shopping is nice too.
"do you think I can wear such a dress?" I point at a dress behind the window

I stop and study the dress. It is beautiful and I think for a moment.
"Well, final choice would be made if I see it on you, but I think it could look very pretty on you." I reply after a while.

"Let's go shopping tomorrow then, you and I both have a day off and I'm sure it's not the only nice dress they have there" I say with a smile and lean against his arm, still holding his hand

I kiss her cheek as leans against me and smile.
"I don't mind." I agree and then another idea pops into my mind. "How about I take you out for dinner afterwards?"
