Work and Making Friends [Lindsay, Shannon]

Shannon looked over at Lindsay, "You okay Lindsay?" she asked

Shannon looked around, then back at Lindsay, "I do" she replied in a near whisper

Meanwhile Danny was at the back entrance of the diner and noticed the door a crack open and peered inside, his hand moving to his gun. He got it out and went in. Something seemed odd about this and he had been having a strange feeling about this case right from the start. He slowly made his way through the small corridor.

Shannon went for her gun as she looked around, "NYPD, who ever is there, come out now." she said

Danny was already close enough to hear Shannon saying that. Knowing her good instincs they probably felt watched. As Danny rounded the corner he almost got run over by a guy who he quickly stopped and then dragged into the kitchen for Lindsay and Shannon to see.
"Nah, ya ain't running from these nice ladies, lad, are ya?"

Shannon had her gun aim at him, the guy looked at them, then surrendered

Danny cuffed him, just in case.
"Mind tellin' me what ya doin' here? Spyin' on the ladies?"

"I wasn't spying, honest" the young man replied, "I was only hiding from the guy that went on a rampage here." he added, Shannon watched him closely

"What guy? You saw where he went?" Danny asked, looking at the man in front of him.

Shannon watched him, "He ran out the back, after that I do not know." he replied

Danny frowned. So he may have missed the suspect.
"Did ya see what he looked like?"

"He was between 5'11" and 6'2", dark hair, slim build, white with a green jacket." the young man replied, it was clear that he was scared for his life, Shannon noticed it, "Det. Reagan, take him outside." she said in a gentle, yet firm tone

"Yes, ma'am." Danny said and took him outside to the officer that were watching the scene in front of the diner and made sure no one got onto it, without permission.
"Ya did the right thing. We'll make sure you're kept safe, just in case he saw you as well." Danny said to him, as they were outside.

the young man nodded as he was taken outside

Danny took him over to the police cruiser where his younger brother Jamie and his partner Sargent Renzulli were keeping an eye on the scene.
"I got an honorable job for ya, kid. Take him to the station and keep him save." Danny said to his brother who nodded. "Will do."

Shannon watched, then went back in side to finish processing

Danny stayed outside, just in case he was needed.

back inside, Shannon finished processing the counter

The diner's owner walked up to Danny again, asking him when he could go back to work. Danny told him he couldn't tell for sure, but they worked as quick as they could. The owner understood. Danny sent him home for now, but said he should be available in case they had more questions.

Shannon soon finished, finding a spent round behind the counter, she looked over to Danny and the owner, "I'm done" she called out to him

Danny looked at her and nodded.
