No more Hinding. (Mac/Kelly's)

"Me turn this many tomorrow." Star held up three fingers.
"I know Angel." Kat said smiling.

I smile at them.
"So you're a big girl then." I said to Starlight.

"Aye, you are" Thomas added as he looked at her

Star nodded and bounced in Mac lap a bit.
Katrina laughed. "So what type of party do you want?"
Star tapped her finger on her chin thinking.

Thomas watched Starlight as she thought, she was just like Bridget

I waited, actually finding myself curious about Star's answer.

Thomas was just as curious

"Princess party!" Star said happily.
Kat nodded. "Ok."

Thomas smiled a bit, then looked at Katrina

"So, you're a little princess, Starlight?" I ask the small girl on my lap and glance at Katrina.

"I would say she is" Thomas said to Mac

Starlight nodded.
Katrina laughed. "OK we can start planing the party in a bit."

Thomas looked at Starlight, "You know, my daughter Erin can help you." he said to her

I smiled when Thomas said that, knowing that Erin had that princess and princes on white horses time.
"I bet she can." I said with the hint of a chuckle in my voice.

Star smiled then climbed on Katrina's lap. "Mommy who my daddy?"
Katrina wrapped her arms around Star and looked away."I don't know baby girl."

I look at Katrina, my mood a little saddened. I knew that Star would ask that more often as she grew older, till she would understand the whole situation.

Katrina sat star down and walked outside not wanting to cry in front of her little girl.

This time it was my turn to follow her and make sure she could count on me. I gently rest my hand on her shoulder.

Katrina sucked in a deep breath trying not to cry in front of Mac either. She hated looking weak.

"It's okay, Kat." I said to her, knowing she didn't like to look weak, but I could understand at least a little what she was going through.

"What am I support to tell her?" she asked. "I didn't even know her father that well."
Star looked at Thomas. "Was me bad?"

I sigh a little and pull her into a hug.
"I don't know, sweetie." I said quietly. "Give her some time to grow up. She'll understand when she's older."
That was all I could tell her, but I knew it probably wasn't helping much.

Thomas looked at Star, "No you weren't" he replied, "Your ma is just upset" he added

"How am I going to tell her, her father drugged me that night?" she started getting teary eyed again.
Star nodded. "Why?"

Thomas sighed, "I wish I knew lass" he replied gently
