A Taylor family get together (All Taylors)

I pull away a little and look at my mother.
"Thanks. I'm doing fine, by the way. How're you?"

"I agree to that. So... everyone's being nice to you?" I asked and looked at the others who came.

Okay, with that I turn around and look at Stella, who was close enough to hear us.
"Well..." I start but stop, not sure what to say now.

I hear Millie saying something about Eleni to Mac and I can't help but turn around. I shoot Mac a warning look, we spoke about this and we agreed on this.

"Coincidence." I tell my mother, knowing it's a lie and I do feel bad about it, but Stella warning glance told me to better not say anything, though I hate lying to my mother. After I said that to her I gave Stella a 'I'll call you on that' look but say nothing else.

Okay, now I'm totally lost. I didn't tell her...
But obviously I am speechless now and hoping to get some help from Stella.

I roll my eyes at Eleni and watch the others.

"I am, but I'm not sure it's what she wants me to do...." I said to my mother. No, that train was gone long ago, sadly...

"Millie please leave Mac alone for a second and come join the ducks" I frown at her

I give Stella a thankful smile and nod before I walk over to greet Katrina by giving her a hug, my mother not really giving me a chance to.
"Hey girl. You okay?" I ask her, just to start a little small talk with her and get my mind off those thoughts my mother set into my mind. I didn't tell her anything and yet she knew the truth. You're her son, of course she knows.

I give Mac a smile and kiss on the cheek. "I'm fine what about you?"

"Well I can't complain either." I say with a small smile.

I smile back and look at the young girl then Mac. "She yours?" I know its not my business, but I ask anyway.

I look around, luckily no one heard.
"Can you keep this to yourself?" I ask her, knowing that I could trust her.

I nod. "Don't worry, but why don't you tell her?" I ask in a whisper.

"That's a long story... When she was born we thought it was best for her." I whisper back. "Though mostly because we weren't sure how to deal with Chief Sinclair."

I nodded my head. "Oh." I give him a smile.

"Rules, you know." I say quietly and then change the topic. "Nice outfit, by the way." I say a little louder, so no one would get suspicious.

I can't help but laugh. "Thanks."

I smile at her and wink. Inside I knew she was a good kid.

I shank my head at Mac. "You are so weird."
