an office/baby room [everyone]

"ok" I say knowing I have to be strong right now, for all of us

I wrap my arm around her shoulders as we walk down the corridor to the elevator, with the other arm I'm still holding our daughter.

I stay quiet as we walk to the elevator.. please let this go right. I want both of them near me!

I stay quiet also till the elevator reaches the floor where Sinclair's office is.
"Let's get this done." I said, giving Stellas shoulders a small squeeze.

My heart starts racing... please Sinclair be nice today. I look up at Mac and than start walking towards Sinclair's office

We both stop at his secretary's desk.
"Chief Sinclair available?" I asked her and she nodded.
"He is. I'll tell him you're coming... you're lucky, no one pissed him off yet, Detective Taylor." she said and announced us. As we walk into his office I feel my own nervousness start to grow.

no one pissed him off yet.. exactly yet... oh gosh... my heart is working overtime...I bet it's going twice as hard... I sigh and follow Mac into the office

I removed my arm from her shoulders and gently grabbed her hand, giving it a soft squeeze.
"Mac, Stella..." Cheif Sinclair said, noticing the small girl on my arms and gave us a questioning look. "What can I do for you?"
I look at Stella.

"We... umm well" I look at Mac and recover. "As you know I had a baby 7 months ago and Mac is the father.." I tell Sinclair with no regrets I told him.

Sinclair just looks at us a little surprise but a small smirk playing around his lips. I look at him, while I give Stella's hand a squeeze.
"Well, as much as I could run protocol down your throats... I think it's not necessary." he said slowly.

"Not?" I say before thinking.. I'm confused.. no yelling, no screaming.. huh

"Well, obviously it wouldn't change anything and you've proven already that you two can work together without your private relationship getting in the way. What else could I ask for? Look at the Messer's they are married and work together and it works. Now you prove you can do that, too." Sinclair said and I just looked at him, relieved at once but also surprised.

ya he can easily say that because we are not in a relationship any more since Eleni was born.. But oh well he doesn't need to know. "Thank you" I tell Sinclair and smile. I'm glad it turned out so well

"I know that I can count on you, but you better not let me down..." Sinclair said.
"Thanks, Sir." I say with a small smile.

I look at Eleni and I see her smile at Sinclair. "I think she wants to say thank you, too" I smile

"She's adoring." Sinclair said and couldn't help but smile. "You know... I'm actually not the bad ass all the time. You two take the rest of the day off and Stella... get some rest, okay?"

"ok" I'm still confused, our annoying boss is human. I'm actually glad. we say our bye's and leave Sinclairs office "Wow Mac, I can't believe this!" I say happily

"Me either, but am glad it turned out like this. I guess he already likes her." I say and kiss my little girls cheek.
"I'm glad you agreed to tell him, Stella." I say quietly and then kiss her cheek.

"we had no choice Mac, Eleni would find out anyway, besides she looks like you" I smile and at you <3

"And she seems to be daddy's girl." I say smiling.

"She really is, she sleeps with a picture of you in her room" I grin

"And yet she doesn't want to sleep there alone...." I say, gently shaking my head. "Think she misses her daddy then?"

"I think you are right, maybe you should take her home for a sleepover" I say smiling

"Maybe. Would you want to join her?" I ask a little shy.

"I think I'd like that" I say with a smile "don't be shy Mac"
