| Thomas was sitting in his office when Mac called him and told him to get to Central Park, Thomas nodded, then got up and headed out, after signing for one of the suvs, he drove over to the park, parking close to were the tape was set up, he got out and walked over, once at the tape line, Thomas showed his badge to the officer that was standing by the crime scene tape, the officer nodded, then let him in, Thomas recliped his badge to his belt as he walked on by and over to the crime scene, pulling his csi jacket tighter around him so it would not get in the way, when he was close enough, Dr. Hammerback informed him of the case, Thomas listened to him as he looked down at the bodies, shaking his head a bit, "Two lovers in the wrong place at the wrong time." he said out loud after Sid finished, Thomas gloved up, then began to process the area, Thomas was halfway finished when an officer called out to him, "Det. Kelly, you have a visitor" the young officer said to him, Thomas stood up and turned to see who it was

| Actually I am only working in the lab, but since everybody was busy with working on cases Mac had come to me and told me that this was my chance to show him I am able to do that job. That was what I dreamt of. Mac told me that he had send Thomas Kelly to the crime scene and he needed help so for the first time since I worked here, I got my own Crime Scene Kit.
As I got out of the car I knew I had to ask for Thomas, since I don't have a badge to show, but only my card that I work at the Crime Lab, which the officer didn't accept. So I asked for Thomas and was happy as I finally saw him turning around and then came walking toward me with the officer at his side. I smiled in relief.

| Thomas looked at the young woman, then motioned to the officer to let her in, the officer nodded, then lifted the tape and let her pass, "You must be Haylen Becall." Thomas said to her in his Irish accented voice while he held his hand out to her, "First time at a crime scene?" he asked, he could tell that she was new to being out of the lab | |

| The officer finally let me in and Thomas held his hand out to me. We shook hands while I said: "Haylen Becall, yes, but you can call me Haylen." After I said that I took a pair of latex gloves out of the Crime Scene Kit and looked around. "It's the first time out in the field for me, yes, but not the first time that I am at a crime scene. Worked for the crime scene clean up, before I came to the Crime Lab. Sorry for being late, Detective. Wasn't prepared for it and Mac gave me a lot of instructions and tips and tricks." I apologized with a soft smile. I felt that working with Thomas Kelly in the field would be just as great as me working in the lab for him. | |

| Thomas nodded in reply to her comment about being late, "Don't worry about it, lass." he said to her gently, he then got back to the task at hand, "Double homicide, victims are James Daley, 29 and his wife Lisa, 27, from what I have been told, they were attacked, murdered then placed here like this." he stated while motioning to were the bodies lay, "Det. Angel and other officers interviewed people in the area, but no one saw or heard anything." he added | |

| "Sounds much like everywhere around New York. Nobody saw or heard anything... But hey this is Central Park." I said after listing to Thomas explanations. "So... placed here like this means we have to find our primary crime scene... TOD?" I asked him as I start to help him processing the Crime Scene. This was going to be interesting, although I would spend a lot of time in the lab processing evidence, but I always liked it and this was what I always wanted to do. | |

| "9:15 am or pm?" I asked, not sure what I was actually looking at, since I just arrived. Somehow this crime scene looked a bit set up, well, it was, but... who was behind all this? Somehow this scene, the way the vics were placed and that they were married... all that remembered me of a case that the CSI's worked on long before I started working in the lab... was this the same phantom killer? "What about Cause of death?" I asked further, still processing the scene and still surprised that Mac actually sent me here, but I was also concentrated and trying to not forget anything. | |

| "PM" Thomas replied, "Both victims bled out after getting their throats slit." he added while continuing to process | |

| "Ah, sorry. Should have seen it..." I said after I took another quick look at the vics before Sid ordered to transport them to the morgue.

| "Don't worry about it." Thomas said to her gently as he finished up, he stood back as the MEs got the bodies out and to the transport van for the ride back to the morgue | |

| "You know, somehow this reminds me of an old case... but it was long before I started working at the crime lab... At that time a serial killer was chasing married couples, mostly those who were just married or married not long before he killed them." I said to Thomas, knowing that I had to share my thoughts about the crime, because maybe it could helpful for us. "Do you think this could be the same killer?" | |

| Thomas looked at her, "I remember the case" he replied, he thought for a moment, then spoke up, "When we get back to the crime lab, pull the old case file and go over it." he said to Haylen | |

| I listen to Thomas telling me to get the old Case file and look over it again, but yet I was not sure if I would actually be allowed to do it.
"Basically I'm just a lab tech... I don't know if I have the authority to get the file..." I said.

| Thomas looked over at her when she said that, "Okay" he replied, "On second thought, take all the evidence we found back to the lab, I'll get the file." he said to her | |

| "Will do. So... see you back at the lab, then." I said and finished my task. | |

| Thomas nodded, then walked back to the SUV he drove over, getting into the drivers seat after getting all he found in the back, he thought of Shannon during his drive back to the lab | |

| I watched Thomas getting into the SUV and watchen him driving away. I gathered together what we found at the crime scene and walked over to my own SUV, Mac had told me to take. I place the Crime Scene Kit inside the trunk and placed the evidence next to it into a small box. I get inside the SUV and made my way back into the lab. As I arrived there I grabben the kit and evidence walked back into my original working place, my mind at ease now that I am back at the place and job I am used to. Going into the field was a great opportunity and I was more than grateful that Mac offered me that opportunity, so I did my best to not disappoint him. I grabbed my lab coat and eagerly started to process the evidence, starting with the knife Thomas found near the vics. | |

| meanwhile, Thomas met up with Det. Flack and asked if he could get a copy of the "Wedding bandit" case, Don nodded, then went to do so, Thomas waited by his desk, Don returned a few minutes later and handed the copies to Thomas, he thanked Don, then went back up to the lab, seeing Haylen work, he walked over to her, "Well, I can tell you now that the victims in Central Park were killed the in the same manner as the ones in this case." he said, holding the file up | |

| I looked up at Thomas as he told me about the "Wedding Bandit" case and listened carefully. He held up a copy of the casefile.
"Well... this time we might get this guy... Found a fingerprint on the knife, you found next to the victim. Maybe he's in the Database. I'm still waiting for a hit in CODIS." I told him, glancing at the computer screen. "Did they find fingerprints or DNA back then?"

| Thomas looked at the file again, "No DNA but they did find a partial print." he replied, "Hopefully we will find a match." | |

| "Well, we could at least try to match the partial print with the print I found. Um... and Sid said he found a hair under Lisa Daley's fingernails. Definitely from the killer, because the vic's DNA doesn't match the DNA from the hair. I could check that already." I said and turned my gaze to the screen just as it signaled that the computer found a match for the print. But to my surprise it was Lisa Daley's print. "What the...??? Lisa Daley's prints are on the knife... does that make any sense to you?" I asked Thomas and showed him the computer's result. | |

| Thomas looked at the screen after Haylen's outburst, "No it doesn't" he replied, "Unless their attacker put the knife in her hand after killing her." he added | |

| "Well... that might be possible. But if I remember correctly... Lisa had a lot of defensive wounds... I think she might have been able to grab the knife and tried to defend herself." I said, thinking about every possiblity and to me, her grabbing the knife and defend herself, seemed logical. But that would mean, that we might find DNA on the knide which doesn't belong to our vics.... "Maybe it sounds weird, but... it's just what came to my mind..." | |
