Faith and police (everyone)

"And it feels great." I added with a small smile.

Thomas nodded in reply, "I'll see you around Haylen" he said to her before leaving

"You bet." I said, smiling. "Say hi to the girls for me."

"I will lass" Thomas replied as he put his hat on and walked off

I watched him as he walked away, a small smile still on my face.
I take a deep breath and then walk over to my car and get home.

Thomas walked back to his place, Sara and Colleen greeted him when he walked in, as did Erin and Bridget, he told them that Haylen said hello

A few weeks later I was sitting in St. Patricks after I went for confession. I didn't have to go that much, but today I felt like I needed to. Now I was sitting somewhere in the front, looking at the Crucifix in the front, thinking about the weeks events.

Thomas walked in with his family, they all sat near the front of the church, Bridget took her turn first for confession, meeting with the associate priest at the front of the church instead of going into the booth like her sisters, it was something new that their church starting doing as a way of introducing the younger kids to confession

From my place I watched Thomas and his family with a small smile, surprised they didn't notice me yet, but then I wasn't that surprised.

Thomas looked back after Bridget walked off and saw Mac, he smiled a bit, then nodded to him

Noticing he noticed me I nodded back to him and gave him a small smile.

after nodding to his boss, Thomas looked back to the front of the church, he crossed himself, then started to pray
