A New Love? [ Mark ]

It was 2 and a half hours later,or somewhere around that,when Mac walked in to meet Mark."How's it going?"he asked him as he walked over to Mark.Mark kept his eyes on the screen as he replied,"I called you down here because I got your killer in the act."Mark replied as he sat up straight and quickly searched through the tape to find the murder."Here."he said with a nod at the paused screen before he played through the murder.He paused the frame as the killer looked up at the camera."That's your killer."he said with a nod at the face as he cleared up the image as best as he could."That it is.Good work Mark."Mac said.Mark looked at the killer's face for a moment."Mac,..."he started."What is it?"Mac asked looking back up at the screen from his phone."That's him."he said.Mac looked at the face closer and sighed as he recognized the face."Go home Mark,let me handle this."Mac told him.Mark was about to protest when he stopped himself and nodded.Mac had already left,leaving him no choice anyways.He pulled out his phone as he walked out and called Kaya with a sigh.Not him again!

Kaya answered her cell phone and she smiled as she spoke to him...

"Meet you there in about 15 minutes?"he asked her.They were meeting at a resturaunt downtown."See ya there."he told her as he hung up and drove over to the place they planned to meet.He leaned up against the side of his black Chevy and waited to see her there.

Kaya had decided to wear her corset top and a pair of black jeans along with her boots. She grabbed her phone and keys then left her apartment to meet Mark.

Kaya appeared and she had no iddea what he would think of her outfit.

"Hey!"he said as he spotted her and walked over to meet her."Wow!Snazzy!"he said as he saw her outfit.He smilied."Ready?"he asked her with a nod towards the resturant.

" Hey, yeah." Kaya said as they walked in together

"So,it turns out that the computer was just unplugged and then I ran through a video for Mac."Mark told her,he didn't want to get into the intracacies of what he had found out."So,how was your day?"he asked her as they sat down.

" Was fine and checked my emails and spent ages trying to figure out what to wear and got a call from my sister." Kaya said

Mark nodded.He didn't know exactly what to say and he stared out the window.The waiter came over and her ordered a water.

(Sorry,brainfart!)

Kaya smiled.

(Mac overdose???What?I too silent for you??Grrr!!!


Mark smilied back.

(I should really finish up my fanfic sometime.......I'll do it tomorrow....)

Kaya actually liked him but she didn't say it out loud..

( LOL I had the overdose saying as I watched Ransom and Forrest Gump last night )

(But you still Lt. Dan......I swear Sinise looks exactly like Mac when he goes to the wedding!!!!!And have you ever seen the movie 'Mission To Mars'?Well anyways,the first shot of Sinise,he pulls up in this silver hot rod with red seats!!!Rrrrraaaaawwww!!!!(That was a total Mac overdose,I stayed till like Midnight to watch that movie.))


Mark took a sip of water and then he looked down at his watch,rougly 8:30,wow,it didn't feel that late,but since he spent hours in the lab watching that video in real time,it was completely possible.He looked over at her,"Sorry I was so late to get back."he told her.He bit his bottom lip,akward....

" It's ok so don't worry about it." Kaya replied.

( Yeah I loved that movie and I own like 7 of his movies: Ransom, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Open Season, Of Mice And Men and Snake Eyes - Lotta movies and of course CSI:NY )

(Total Mac addict....Until I saw online I had no idea that he played the voice of shaw in Open Season,like I woulda never guessed!!!)

Mark nodded and took another drink of water."Ok then."he said.This was all very new to him,as much as you think he should already have a girlfriend,....no.

" Yeah." Kaya said

( Forgot that I also have Apollo 13 )

Mark nodded."Well,I told you where I work,where do you work?"he asked her,finally finding something to start a conversation with.

Kaya then replied " I'm working in Cafe Nero and have been for a few years now."

Mark nodded."I was always interested in Technology when I was younger."he told her."My father works with the NYPD and when he would come home I would ask him what he did and how his day went.I grew up knowing I wanted to help out in the crime lab.So when I grew up I went down to ITT Tech and here I am today."he continued,making a long story short.

" Niice and I also do music part time most weekends with friends. I did drama in uni." Kaya replied then smiled

"Interesting."Mark commented with a smile.He looked down at his watch again and was surprised to see that it was nearly nine o' clock.He looked over at her."I should get going.I'm sorry,but,you know my alarm clock goes off at six in the morning,if not earlier."he told her."It was nice to see you again."he told her as he stood.He glanced down at the floor shyly,"I guess....guess I'll see you tommorow?"he asked,glancing up at her.

" Yeah as I'm working tomorrow double shifts. " kaya said as they left into the night.

"Alright,bye."he told her as he walked over to the black chevy parked on the far side of the lot.For once,Mark admitted to himself that he had had fun with someone.He smilied to himself as he opened the door to the truck and got in and drove bac to his place.

(Sorry had lunch and watching Open Season!!)

Kaya said the same back and she headed off home and once she got home, she sighed to herself and she couldn't stop thinking about him but she liked him but she was wary of letting someone get close to her.

Kaya didn't know what to do.

( Opened a can of beer and put on Green Day )

The next morning,Mark's alarm clock went off at 6 just like usual and he looked down at his phone,he had a text from Mac,he needed to be at the lab in about an hour.Mark nodded and set his phone down again and got up,got a shower,got dressed,and headed back and grabbed his phone and headed off to the lab,another day doing what he loved,Mark couldn't imagine doing anything else.
