Dinner For my Lady [Stella]

"I like the sound of that" I reply with a big smile and watch you sit down as well

I smile.

"The dinner tastes delicious Mac, very well done" I say truthfully and smile

I look up and smile.
"Glad you like it." I say in truth.

"It's made with love, I can taste it" I smile and lean over the table to give you a kiss

I kiss you back and then nod.
"That it is."

"I've always known you were a good cook" I say with a big smile

"Well, comes with practice. Though I do that a lot more now than I did before." I counter. "I think everyone can be a good cook."

"I think you're right about that" I grin and continue to eat

I smile and enjoy the rest of the dinner.

I finish my dinner and look at you "I've really enjoyed it, thank you so much"

"You're most welcome, honey." I say looking at you with a tender smile.

"so what are we having tomorrow?" I grin and smile back at you

I look at you in surprise and then shrug.
"Don't know... Besides... I'm assigned to do the night shift tomorrow." I reply with a slight frown.

"Oh that's not so good, do you think we can have lunch together tomorrow?" I wonder

"We can, if you're not at a scene then." I reply. Having lunch was okay, as my shift started at 5 pm when her's ended, lunch would mean some time together for the day.

"I have the feeling tomorrow will be a paperwork day" I reply with a smile, really wanting to have lunch with him

"The selfish part of me hopes so." I say and grin.

"Same here" I reply and get up from the chair "let's get this cleaned up"

"Yes ma'am." I say, getting up as well and taking the plates into the kitchen.

I smile and also grab some things for the table and walk to the kitchen.

I start to put the dishes into our dishwasher and then clean those things that can't be put into it.

"You need me to dry the dishes?" I ask with a smile.

"If you want to, but we can also let 'em dry here and just put them away later." I reply, letting her choose what she wants to do.

"I'll just help you, no problem" I smile and start drying the plates
