Goodbye Aiden [Mac]

"Let's move." I said to Stella, as DJ pulled the woman out between the cars they were standing.

I nod and both Don and I got up to get him away from the woman

While Don and Stella get to DJ I took care of his rescued victim, but always had an eye on DJ, Stella and Don, just in case.

DJ wasn't hard to stop, cuffing him wasn't that hard either, probably because Don and I were with two and Don looks quite scary at times in a matter of seconds the backup arrived and took DJ away. I quickly looked at Mac and the woman. I wondered if she was ok

The woman had tears in her eyes and was still trembling a little, as I had my arm around her shoulders and got her off the ground.
"Thank you..." she said almost in a whisper.

An ambulance quickly arrived and took the woman from Mac. I walked to Mac and watch the ambulance people take care of her.

I looked at Stella as the woman was treated by the paramedics and sigh a little.

I look from the woman to Mac "C'mon let's get you home, It's your day off remember"

"Got my car around the corner..." I replied and looked at her.

"I figured as much so I can drive you home. Don drove me to here. I don't allow you to drive Taylor!" I tease

"Yes ma'am." I replied in the same tone.

"keys?" holds up my hand for you to give me the car keys

I sighed and hand you the keys.

I smile and hold the keys tight in my hand "thank you very much dear" I grin and start walking to your car

I shake my head and follow.
Actually I should be glad that we finally caught the bastard, but somehow I wasn't quite yet.

I unlock the door and look at you "It might not be over yet but we did take a step in the right way Mac" I tell him before getting into the car

I nodded in agreement and got in as well.
"I just don't get it, how he could get away with it so many times. We knew he did it, but we had not a single prove of it." I said with a frown. "Sometimes just felt like we've been overlooking something, although I knew we didn't."

"Mac.. we can't catch them all even though we want to" I say and start the car

I sigh a little. "I know."

I look at you for a second than look back at the road and drive to your home.

I stay silent for the rest of the ride.

I park the car in front of your building "you're home" I tell him

"I see." I reply and look at her, still feeling bad about yesterday.

I get out of the car and wait for you to do the same.

I get out as well and walk up to you.
"You know... I wanted to say I'm sorry for yesterday, Stella." I say quietly.
