tea and converstation (Stella and Lindsay)

Shannon sat in the coffee shop that was down the street from the crime lab, sitting on one of the couches, her tea in hand as she looked at the other parents of the shop, then out the window, she started to think of the people that she worked with, main Stella and Lindsay, she was blessed to have them as friends, a smile came to her face as she thought of them, at the same time, she saw two familiar faces

"Hey Lindsay! Isn't that Shannon?" I say with a big smile and drag Lindsay into the coffee shop. "you're here alone?" I look around to see if I can spot another Kelly family member

Shannon smiled, "Yep, its just me" she replied as she stood and hugged Stella, then Lindsay, "Whats up with you two?" she asked after pulling back

"well we bought some new shoes, Mac forced me.. He said I needed a pair of flat shoes, guess my heels from last week were to high" Stella grinned, they were indeed very high.

Shannon smiled a bit, "Its not easy to get around a crime scene when in heels." she replied

"Well it went very well actually, but the running part is going to be hard" I grin and sit down next to Shannon

Shannon nodded in reply, "Agreed" she said to Stella after sitting down, "I don't normally say this, but police work is not fashion friendly." she stated

"I must agree on that but the lab is quite ok, the long sleeved lab coat! it's both stylish and functional" I grin

Shannon giggled a bit, "That it is" she replied, "Dare I say that you look cute in your lab coat." she added before taking a sip of her tea

I laugh and shake my head "me cute? in a lab coat? well umm thank you!"

"Your welcome" Shannon replied, smiling as she said that

"do you like the tea here? I think I'm going to try it as well" I say with a smile

"I do, its very good" Shannon replied, "Highly recommend it" she added

"I'm going to have it then!" I smile and order tea as well

Shannon smiled, the took a sip of her tea, "So, how are things with you and Mac?" she asked

"we are partners, we are fine. How are you and Thomas?" I blush

Shannon nodded, "We are doing great" she replied, her cheeks turning red a bit

"I'm glad to hear that and the children?" I ask with a smile

"Sara is getting ready for college, Colleen and Erin are starting middle school and Bridgett is going into fifth grade." Shannon replied

"That sounds so great, how's Bridgett's ice skating doing?"

"Very well" Shannon replied, "She won gold in the youth championships" she added

"That's great, I really want to see her next competition" I say with a smile

Shannon nodded, "She has one at the end of the month." she replied, taking her tea in hand as she spoke

"When you know the exact date and time could you let me know?" I ask with a smile

"I will" Shannon replied, smiling a bit
