Africa [Lindsay]

Stella and I were in Africa on safari! It was amazing, i felt so home! I saw that Stella was slightly nevous though. She was a 100% city girl so this was totally diffrent.

We were here to relax, to get away from work for a while. And then not in the city sitting in our apartment, no away. Away from everything, and it felt so good. I smelled the scent again when we had just left our cabin.

On our way to here with the plain Stella had told me a hundred diffrent kind of stories what could happen, including a Snake that will bite us or a tiger eating us. Well i have been bitten bij a snake before, but i can tell ya this, i was still living x'D. And a tiger eatin' us? She was really loosing it in that storie. I loved her so much, and we were just gonna be fine.

I was lost in thoughts. It was so beautiful here. I hoped Stella would really enjoy it here, cause i was sure that there were gonna be situations where Stella was gonna scream and become paranoid of a animal. Even if it was a little spider, she hated spiders. A evil grin appears on my face.. What if i just.. I snap back to reality when i hear Stella shouting my name.

I turn around and see that she had walked up top a hill, to see that's behind of it. I walk up to her and join her. I see a large group of elephants. She had always loved elephants. Once she had told me embarressed that they reminded her of Mac. I was the first person that didn't think she was crazy. Cause I had the same things with giraffe's and Danny. I blushed when i thought back at our conversation.

"They are beautiful, aren't they?" I said with a big smile on my face. Yep i was gonna love this vacation.

I smile when i see the elephants passing by and the smile on Stella's face. I continue watching the elephants when Stella suddenly lays her hand on my shoulder, pointing at some giraffes and says: And there are a lot of Danny's even a little Danny, aren't they cute?.

I search for them immediatly with my eyes and find them, following the direction where she was pointing at.

A few giraffes, and a cute little one make their way to the next tree. Probably hungry..like Danny also always was. No wonder they reminded me of Danny. And those eyes! They had beautiful eyes, and eyelashes. And the pattern..okaai Lindsay don't get lost again.


"wauw, amazing!" was all i could say. My eyes winded when i followed the actions of the animals. The little one was so cute, and jumpy. It reminded me of Lucy. I missed them a lot on this vacation, but i was sure Stella missed Mac and her little onces too. But we were here together and we were both gonna enjoy this vacation together! And i was sure we would have an great time!

I was enjoying the sight of the Giraffes. Danny had told me not to think about him and Lucy, well okaai think about them, but not in a worrying way.. It was hard though. Cause i haven't let him spent longer than a whole day alone with Lucy. And i can tell you that it not always went well. I knew I could trust Danny. In any way, but there was just a weird feeling that he would get himself in A LOT of trouble. I chuckle when i think of how he should look like when i got back.

Then Stella asks where we are sleeping tonight. I had planned the whole trip. It was kinda a suprise for her, it was risky to do.. cause it was totally diffrent for her. But i was sure she would love it, and gave it a shot. And lucky me she had agreed with me, came and said it was a great idea. Even though she wasn't sure she could handle everything. But i had told her that we just relax and i was there to protect her. Even though i was so little... I could protect her!

"We're again sleeping at the hotel tonight. Tomorrow we will go into the woods and we will make our own camp there" I explained to her. I smiled when i talked about making our own camp. I did that so many times when i was still in Montana. Just exploring the woods and making our own camps with my brothers & sister. And spending the nights in the middle of no where.
I hoped Stella would like it too though.

I see that the expression on her face slightly changed when i told her about making our own camp. I was sure she had never ever done anything like that before. I could think of many ways what could happen when we would be there.. x'D

Then she asks me if we were gonna do it all on our own, or with a group. Well actually we would do it all on our own, but i now noticed that she was really not gonna like that idea. Maybe we should buy a tent... i mean you could buy them a lot around here in the shops. Because it was the idea that you would come here to see the beautiful landscape and go and explore it yourself.

Stella had already been shocked when i had told her that we didn't had a guide. I mean.. helloo some privacy would be nice.. yes. I mean i wasn't doing it for the first time so i didn't need any guide for me to help me surviving. I just needed some company, and that i now certainly had.

"Well actually just the two of us" I told her. But i quick added "But we could buy a tent and use that" I said, hoping she it would relieve her a bit. I mean i couldnt wait to be there, just only walking trough the woods, trough the nature.. If i would be there.. i would forget NewYorkCity in no time.. and i was kinda sure that Stella would only think about it. But we could handle it, together.

Why didn't I ask all this before we went on vacation

first she's telling me we won't have a guide, second she's telling we we are going to camp in the woods and three, she was planning to really make the whole camp no tent no anything.. Ö

Okay stella don't be such a city girl you can do this.. How hard can it be to improvise? I mean we can make some kind of tent ourselves with Branches and euhmm big leaves from trees. Just think away all the insects who are in the trees. we just kick their little butts XDD this is going to be fine we can do this.. or at least Lindsay can do this and I'll see what I have to do.

"If you think we can survive without tent I trust you on that"

I winded my eyes when i heard Stella's reply. It took her a while to reply though. But what she said was amazing! She was really trying to push that city girl away! I was so proud of her, cause i first had my doubt if she could really do it. I was still wondering though.. if would be there, making a tent from what we could find there. And then we weren't totally secure that it was waterproof.
But i thought of dropping that topic for just now, I was happy enough that she had agreed on going without a tent.

"Well that's great! I can't wait!" I said excited. I felt like i was back in the time again. I had done it a couple of times. And i was sure i could still do it. And i mean we were CSI's we could difinitly improvise! And i was sure Stella would help me if i told her too. Otherwise i could just say that then she could sleep outside, with nothing.

I was still wondering if she would sleep though. Cause it was really in the middle of the woods. And if our fire would go out, there was really a possibility that all kind of wild animals would come and check or camp out. If that would happen im sure Stella would so not like it. And that the rest of the trip we were staying at a hotel, and otherwise certainly in a tent.

"Me neither It's going to be fun!"

I'm convinced! we can do this! and if we come out of here with only a few scratches I'll never be scared again! not of people not of animals and not of little spiders who crawl in your mouth when you sleep.. uhu I won't be scared anymore!

"So what are we going to do now?"

I have no idea how our days will look like, Lindsay told me she would make the plans cause she knows more about this stuff than me. I do hope there is a moment that we can work on our tan hehe. rule number one: coming home from a vacation means you have to come home with a tan or it wasn't a real vacation.

I could see that Stella was excited to go, though. I guess she finally saw that she really could do it. I mean not on her own of course.. but I think i couldn't handle that either. Besides that, you just needed a partner at your side, even if it was just to talk to and help you with a couple things. You couldn't handle it all on your own.

Then Stella asks me what our day will look like. I have planned a couple of days, not all the days though. Cause i thought she also might like other things to do. I mean it would be a bit unfair if i would plan everything. Okay, i looked what we could all do and what she and I both liked.. but still I was sure there would be things that I never knew she would like.

So i hadn't planned everything just yet. Oh, and i was sure she wanted a tan. I mean.. if we would come back without it she wouldn't call it a real vacation. Just a trip we made, and where we didn't even get a tan. Besides that.. if we would have one that would also show that we had some relaxing days, where we did nothing than just lying at the beach. That was also a great think to think about.

"Well for the rest of this day i had just planned some free time. We could go back to the hotel and there I could show what i have planned so far. I didn't pan every single day, cause i thought you might like to pick something out too. I mean there are a lot of things, and im sure there is something i would never guess you'd like that" I said with a smile. "Besides that, relaxing on your first day of the vacation is not a bad thing to think about either" I said when my smile winded.

I understand what she meant with dealing with freaks after all this. Though, i have done this a lot of times, i loved hiking. And i already did it lots with my parents, but i understood it was fully new to her, she was a city girl after all. But after all, she was really good prepared, a bit shaky with all she now could do, and could not do. But i was sure she was gonna adjust to that really quickly.. or not at all, hehe.

"No, we don't have phones. And don't worry too much, we won't get bitten by anything.. Okay, maybe by mosquito's but we can handle that, i'm sure of it!" i told her. "We're gonna be fine, trust me" i tried again, to calm her a bit. I knew she could stress... lots. But we really gonna be fine! I was enjoying all of this already, just being in my home state already made me enjoy this whole trip.. Home sweet home!
