Cassandra was born to Melvin and Lily Green. Melvin was an American diplomate so Cassandra spent most of her life growing up traveling. New schools each time her father was sent somewhere new. Along her travels, she picked up various languages, as well as a collection of postcards. When she was 16, they finally settled back in New York where Cassandra started to develop of a love of anything science.

Once done high school, she enrolled in university for forensic sciences, much to her parents dismay. They wanted her to become a lawyer or another diplomate. She worked at a bar while paying for university because her parents refused to pay for courses they didn't want her taking. Upon graduating, she continued working at the bar before landing a job at the NYPD forensics lab. Known for some rather interesting work habits, such as dancing while running DNA, she's vigilant and dedicated to her job. She loves what she does and would do anything for the lab.
