Thomas and the others felt the same way, until they heard Samantha's scream, "SHUT UP!" the man yelled before slapping her hard on the cheek, the swat commander led his men in that direction, Thomas followed

I felt a shiver running down my spine as I heard the scream and the man. I got ready and followed them.

the swat team got to the room, Thomas was close behind, the order was given and a flash bang was tossed it, it went off and the team stormed into the room, "DROP THE WEAPON, ON THE GROUND NOW!!" the swat guys yelled

Samatha was obviously scared and relieved at the same time, as the man was forced to surrender but now without cursing. What they didn't knew was that he still held the needle in his hand he was going to inject the Curare with.
I noticed as Thomas got close to him. "Watch out!" I called out as the guy made a quick move toward him.

Thomas looked at the guy, then kicked him in self-defense, the guy fell on his face after Thomas kicked him, he was out cold

Once he was knocked out I quickly free Samatha of the chair as the SWAT guys took care of that guy. I looked at Thomas.

Thomas looked at Haylen and Samantha, "Get her outside" he told her

"Gee... I love ya, too." I replied quietly, but took Samatha out.

Thomas got to work in processing the area, not hearing what Haylen said, outside, Samantha noticed her hands were shaking

"You're save now." I said as I got her to the EMTs and went back to help him processing. But as I get back in, I stop first and look at him.

Samantha nodded as the EMTs checked her, inside, Thomas looked at Haylen

"You've got a nice way to talk to me today, Tom..." I said and got gloved up.

Thomas sighed, "Forgive me" he replied

I looked at him with a pout but then smile a little.
"But only because it's you."

Thomas looked at her, then smiled a bit, "We better finish up"

I nodded and got to work, but I wasn't really satisfied by him just asking me to forgive his way of talking to me. Was it just the case or was it something else that had him off his normal track? I mean he's never talked to me like that before. With a somewhat worried thought I continued to process, keeping in mind to ask him about it later.

at the same time, Thomas discovered all the tools that the guy used on his victims, as well as photos of a few other women, this discovery filled Thomas with anger and sickness

I looked at Thomas after I was done with my part and I could tell how he was feeling right now. Inside I didn't fault him, I felt just the same.

Thomas soon finished bagging all that he found, then turned to walk out, outside, Samantha was taken to the ER for observation

I sighed when he just left. I didn't really know how to take it, but otherwise this case was tough. So I followed him outside, catching up when he reached the SUV we came in. I gave him a slight bit worried glance.

Thomas got back to the SUV and placed what he found in the back, then looked at Haylen, "You okay lass?" he asked gently

"I'm more worried about you." I replied, looking at him.

Thomas saw the look in Haylen's face, "I'll be okay" he said gently

"You better be, because I didn't like the way you talked to me earlier. Just got me thinking." I replied quietly.

Thomas nodded, "Sorry" he replied in a low tone
